Volume 3 Chapter 32 Demon Lord Child, Annoying

The uninhabited island—fortress of the New Demon Lord Army—stood protected by an impenetrable defensive barrier.

 Or so they thought.

 A report arrived.

 The barrier had been breached.

In the Demon Lord's chamber, Demon Lord Ruzzel stiffened.

"No way... Are you kidding me!?" His voice cracked with disbelief. "That barrier is unbreakable! Show me the outside—now!"

 "Y-yes...!"

A subordinate fumbled with a communication crystal, activating it. The image flickered to life.

There, standing motionless atop the water, was Demon Lord Zeke.

 Ruzzel's stomach churned.

 "Z-Zeke...!?"

The barrier wasn't shattered. It wasn't even damaged.

 It was just... gone.

"!? What the hell is this!?"

 Their eyes met.

Impossible. There was no way Zeke could see him from that distance. And yet—

'Ruzzel. Sorry, but I'm taking you down today.'

Ruzzel's lip curled into a sneer, masking the gnawing unease creeping up his spine.

"Don't get cocky, human! Just because you bypassed the barrier!"

 His voice rang with confidence.

"You have no idea what you're up against! My fortress is laced with countless traps and guarded by my strongest warriors. You won't take a single step inside!"

 Zeke's response was calm.

'Wait for it. I'll be right there. Be prepared.'

 Then, without hesitation—he walked.

 Across the water.

 Straight toward the island.

Ruzzel's eyes gleamed as Zeke stepped onto the shore.

 At that moment—

 The ground collapsed beneath him!

"Too easy," Ruzzel sneered. "First trap—Antlion! The moment you step in, you're finished! You'll be swallowed whole!"

The sand churned violently, pulling Zeke down at terrifying speed.

Ruzzel threw back his head, laughing. "Hahahaha! Pathetic! Just like that, you're—"

 BAM!

A thunderous blast erupted from the pit.

Sand exploded skyward as Zeke emerged—completely unharmed.

 Ruzzel's laughter died.

 "N-no way...!? How...!?"

Zeke casually dusted himself off, his right hand glowing faintly.

'Traps don't work on me. I'll just revert everything to how it was before.'

 That hand.

That damned hand—capable of restoring anything.

 Zeke's gaze locked onto him.

'There's no way I'll be stopped here.'

A cold sweat pooled in Ruzzel's palm.

 He gritted his teeth.

 "D-damn it...!"

 This wasn't over. Not yet.
