Volume 3 Chapter 33 Siege Warfare

I set foot on the deserted island where the Demon Lord's child, Ruzzel, lurked.

The blazing dragons had marked the location, guiding me across the endless sea. Now, I was here.

A shimmering barrier surrounded the castle, a last line of defense. It shattered the moment my Right Hand of Divine Magic touched it.

Stepping onto the shore, I let my fingers sink into the warm sand. A pulse of magic rippled outward, invisible waves bouncing back to me. I read the signals. The land itself whispered its secrets.

 "Shall we go?"

A foreign presence stirred within me—an untamed thing, raw and wild. I examined it the way a beast veterinarian studies an unfamiliar creature. Then, releasing another wave of magic, I locked onto my target.

 The Demon Lord's child.

'Ugh, useless, useless, useless! You can't track me! I'm warping space, twisting your sense of direction!'

Yet I walked straight toward him.

 'Why!? Why aren't you lost!?'

"Did you really think that would be enough to stop me?"

'Tch! Fine! Let's see how you handle this—countless traps, waiting for you at every step!'

 The island roared to life.

Boulders crashed down from above. Hidden pits yawned open at my feet. Flames burst from unseen switches. Lightning crackled from nowhere.

Each step forward should have been certain death.

But my divine barrier—woven with Right Hand of Divine Magic—nullified every single attack.

'Damn it! That right hand of yours—it's cheating! Cut it off!'

"There's no such thing as fairness in battle. And you're the one who's been attacking from the shadows."

This coward had been orchestrating ambushes, striking from the dark.

"If you strike, be prepared to be struck back. That's the simplest rule of all."

'How dare you, human! A mere insect, lecturing me!? Wretched fool!'

With a thunderous crash, a hulking figure emerged.

A massive golem, its body gleaming like polished gold.

'The ultimate guardian! Forged from divine iron—Orichalcum! Even you can't break this indestructible body!'

I placed a hand on its metallic form.

The moment I did, its shining armor crumbled into dust.

 'Whaaaaatttt!?'

"Did you really think that toy could stop me?"

The Right Hand of Divine Magic reduces any divine iron to nothingness.

I raised my gaze toward the castle.

"Prepare yourself, Demon Lord. I won't stop until this is over."
