Meanwhile, at the New Demon Lord Army's Stronghold
A massive fortress loomed over an uninhabited island, floating ominously above the sea.
Inside, Demon Lord Ruzzel lounged in his throne, exuding confidence.
Suddenly—
"Sir Ruzzel! It's bad!"
A subordinate burst into the chamber, panting. "A horde of Volcanic Dragons is approaching from above!"
Ruzzel barely lifted an eyebrow. "Calm yourself. It's just Zeke's reconnaissance team. They won't attack immediately."
He smirked.
"So, the Demon Lord found this place, huh? No matter. We're prepared. Let him come whenever he wants."
With a snap of his fingers, a magical device flickered to life, projecting an image of the outside.
The island was enveloped in layer upon layer of barriers, each pulsing with eerie energy.
"Observe," Ruzzel said smugly. "Even if one barrier falls, another will instantly replace it, created through a completely different technique. If they fail to dispel it within a minute—"
He paused, his grin widening.
"—a lethal spell will annihilate them. And brute force? Impossible. Even if they did break through, they'd be flung into another realm."
A subordinate gasped in admiration.
"What an incredible defense! With this, the Demon Lord won't be able to lay a finger on us!"
Ruzzel chuckled darkly.
"My castle is an inviolable fortress. If Zeke dares to challenge me, well..."
His eyes gleamed with malice.
"...I can't guarantee he'll survive. Kukuku... Hahaha—"
BOOM!
The entire island trembled. The walls groaned. A deafening explosion rocked the stronghold.
"Wha—what was that!?"
A frantic voice crackled through the magical communication device.
"I-it's terrible! The barrier—it's been shattered!"
Ruzzel's laughter froze.
"What!?"
