Volume 6 Chapter 14 Well, She's a Noble Lady

"Phew... A lot happened, but I'm back."

In Randy's eyes, the familiar courtyard of the academy reflected back.

The sky, already beginning to darken, painted the white academy in orange.

"Thank you, principal, for leading us today."

Randy bowed his head, and Lucius smiled back, acknowledging it was a valuable experience.

For Lucius, it felt like one of the ancestral oral traditions had finally reached a conclusion.

It was almost a light burden lifted.

"Now, it's just a matter of guarding the ancient king's seal for eternity."

Lucius rubbed his chin while Randy looked up at the sky tinted in crimson, replying, "Indeed."

The adults Randy met, starting with Lucius, would likely not meddle with that seal once they understood the circumstances.

Yet, the reason he instinctively looked up at the sky was because he wanted to avert his gaze from the castle barely visible.

(No country can be trusted when it comes to its leaders.)

The fact that the most critical leaders were the least trustworthy was undeniable.

It's no wonder Randy found himself wanting to look away from reality.

Still, for now, he decided to focus on what he could do.

His immediate task was to make sure not to miss the timing of the solar eclipse.

"By the way, Miss Catherine, the solar eclipse is really happening in spring, right?"

Turning around, Randy heard Catherine shrug and say, "Yes, that's right."

"It should be a few days after the opening ceremony."

 "Right after the opening ceremony..."

Randy pondered on how to address the situation after regaining Ellie's body.

He wanted to bring her along to the academy like a servant, as Liz did, but servant registrations only occurred at the beginning of each term.

"Worst case, I'll just stay behind with Harrison and the others for the first term."

Randy sighed, to which Lucius smiled and reassured him that wouldn't be an issue.

"Even though the opening ceremony is scheduled, it will likely be delayed by about a week."

Lucius, stroking his chin, spoke about the matter of Julius's transfer.

It seemed that letters had already reached the royal government from the imperial homeland, the Holy Church's imperial branch, and the Cathedral.

To meet the requirements for enrollment, the imperial government has already proven that Julius has been removed from the imperial family.

With a letter of recommendation from the current top of the Holy Church, Archbishop Ridley, the kingdom has no choice but to reluctantly accept his enrollment.

Of course, the kingdom won't allow him to enroll for free.

They have placed surveillance on Julius and prohibited the removal of important information──though there isn't much of that in a school.

They seem to have various demands regarding his behavior at the academy.

And it seems that Julius has readily agreed to all of them without issue.

"In other words, the prince's enrollment procedures will delay the start of the term."

"That's right. It's only a matter of time before the enrollment is finalized. After all, the government is already scheming to bring Julius in."

Lucius shrugged as he spoke of Julius's excellence.

With talent in swordsmanship and magic, along with the intellect to graduate early from the imperial academy, he is a highly sought-after asset for the kingdom government, which has been pressured by the noble lords lately.

"'Heaven does not bestow 2 gifts' doesn't apply here?"

Randy looked up at the sky with a wry smile, while Catherine said something from behind, "But I'm one of those who was given gifts too?"

"Hey! Why is no one saying anything?!"

 Completely ignored, Catherine pouted.

"Yes, yes. The Saintly Lady is a blend of boldness, insensitivity, and shamelessness."

 Leon chimed in to support.

 "That's all the same meaning!"

With her eyebrows raised, Catherine shot back, and Leon stuck out his tongue, adding, "And also, shamelessness."

Randy glanced at the two playfully bickering and sighed deeply, saying, "In any case..."

"Until the time comes, we can only enjoy our break."

Randy stretched widely, and Cecilia nodded, "Indeed."

"Liza, see you in the new semester──"

"Yes. I'm looking forward to it."

Even though they say their goodbyes, the two find it hard to part, for unlike Winter vacation, Cecilia and the others probably won't be able to visit.

During spring break, Cecilia and the others will be busy in Hartfield with various matters related to [Pilgrim of Truth], as well as improving farm efficiency, and...

"Hey. I heard you're going on a trip with the young lady?"

As Randy smugly said, Cecilia and Luke will indeed travel to another territory nearby during spring break.

"Are you stupid? It's not *like that*!"

Luke, frowning, talks about the trip planned for spring break.

The trip taken during this holiday will also include Count and Countess Hartfield.

With the Count and Countess accompanying them, this trip at this time is no ordinary journey.

The Count Hartfield family is a long-established noble house among the landholding aristocracy.

Therefore, many families want to connect with the Count's house.

They are warmer compared to Braubelg and more intellectual and approachable than Waldner.

In other words, Count Hartfield is very easy to get along with.

It can be said that many families desire to have connections with such a noble and affable Count.
