Volume 2 Chapter 11 Stone Diviner Apprentice, Goes Out to the Town

I finally got a 2-day break with no work or study planned.

During such times, I could stay up late and immerse myself in games, couldn't I?

Since I can't play with everyone like in my student days, it's just me and Rolus; we can only do competitive games or puzzles for 2.

"So, with that said, I'll head out today to discover a new game."

"I don't know why, but I'll join you."

It seems Rolus will come along with me.

 That's great!

"I hope to encounter an interesting game."

 I mutter quietly.

Ever since the god, no, Flora stopped making games, I haven't encountered what you'd call a god-tier game.

I've probably been made unable to be satisfied with other authors' games due to Flora's influence.

Ahh, I wish Flora would suddenly become free.

If only she could return to a creative environment where she could focus solely on game development.

...Wouldn't it be good if I made a fortune as a stone diviner and devoted it to Flora...?

With such silly thoughts in mind, I got into the carriage with Rolus.

"Speaking of which, it's been a while since I've come out to town."

 "That's true."

Ever since I got married, I've been busy and fluttering around, so my activity range shrank to just my house and the teacher's mansion.

I was originally an indoor person, so it might not have bothered me, which is why it's been so long.

"Since we're out, shall we look at other things besides games?"

 "Sure."

"Rolus, if there's anything you want to see, feel free to say."

 "Okay."

While having such a conversation, we walked hand in hand.

 Is this perhaps a date!?

 "Elena?"

 Immediately, an interruption comes!

 Who is it!?

I turned my gaze towards the owner of the voice calling my name.

There stood Mister Eliseo, a nostalgic figure.

His voice was as good as ever.

Well, it hasn't been that long since graduation, so it's not too nostalgic yet.

I thought so and turned my gaze to the voice master who called my name.

And there was a nostalgic Mister Eliseo.

He still had a good voice.

Well, it's not long since I graduated, so it's not that nostalgic.

"Mister Eliseo! It's been a while!"

As I politely bowed my head, Rolus also bowed slightly.

"How have your days as a stone diviner been?"

"If I start talking, it'll take a while."

With a bit of a smug look, Mister Eliseo chuckled softly.

"If you're okay with it, shall we have tea somewhere?"

"Sounds great. Rolus, how about you?"

 "Yes."

So it was decided that I would go to Mister Eliseo's favorite café.

The café had such a calm atmosphere that I couldn't help but murmur how fitting it was for a grown man to choose this place.

Since there were no chattering female customers.

Once we were seated, Mister Eliseo smiled and tilted his head slightly after I placed our 3 orders.

"So, how is it? The newlywed life?"

"Mmm, mmm? You just asked about the days as a stone diviner, right? Well, the newlywed life is really fun!"

"No, no, seeing the two of you together like this makes me truly believe you've gotten married."

Mister Eliseo said this as he alternated his gaze between me and Rolus.

"We did get married, for real."

Hehe, trying to hide my embarrassment, I looked at Rolus, who had a faint blush on his cheeks.

 Yup, Rolus was shy too.

"But it looks like you haven't completely shed the master-servant dynamic."

"Well, that's true. But recently, Rolus has finally started calling me Elena!"

 Isn't that amazing?

I said with that expression, but the teacher looked puzzled.

 "...Recently, finally?"

"That's right. Until relatively recently, I was called Lady."

I see, the teacher nodded in understanding just as our earlier orders were brought out.

Since all 3 of us ordered tea, 3 cups of steam wafted in front of us.

At the same time, a rich aroma floated gently.

I thought it would be a shame to ruin this by making a milk tea, but the teacher unhesitatingly poured in the milk and sugar.

The teacher really has a sweet tooth, despite the stern look!

When I entered the teacher's room at the academy before, there was a sweet smell too.

"So, let me ask you again, how are your days as a diviner? Has any troublesome client come by? Would you like me to teach you pest control magic for when that kind of person shows up?"

Seriously, how much does this person want to teach me pest control magic?

I feel like someone said something similar to me back in school.

"So far, since I'm still an apprentice, I haven't had any troublesome clients. The moment when I want to use pest control magic hasn't come either."

 I chuckle and reply.

"Elena sometimes seems a bit dazed, you know? I'm a little worried."

"Dazed!? I feel like that's the first time I've ever been told that!"

I thought I was in a pretty reliable older sister position since I did well in school.

"From way back, Elena, you're just too kind. You didn't get angry at all when you were bothered by the wealthy Margrave's daughter, right?"

 I remember that happening.

"That was... more ridiculous than anger-inducing."

 "That's exactly it."

What do you mean by that?

"Elena, you may not realize it, but you're quite the soft-hearted person, you know?"
