Volume 2 Chapter 51 Damage Caused by the Kirin
We passed through the fairy ring and teleported to their country.
The moment I thought my vision warped, I was in another place.
'Ugh! What is this? It's pouring rain! I want to go home!'
The fairy Lilin on my shoulder shouted, looking up at the sky.
The sky was covered with thick clouds, and rain poured down like a waterfall.
"I see, so this is the damage caused by the Kirin."
'Indeed, Sir Zeke. The weather is chaotic due to the wrath of the Kirin. We can't live normally like this.'
Prince Reiss said with a gloomy face.
He must be worried about the state of the country.
'Ah, this is serious. With this downpour, crops won't grow, and we can't even go outside. What a hassle.'
Meanwhile, Lilin seemed completely unconcerned, despite being of royal blood.
At least show some concern for the country...
'First, I will guide you to where the Kirin is sealed.'
"Before that, let's do something about this rain."
'N-No, that's impossible. Unless we calm the wrath of the Kirin, this storm won't stop. No matter how many court magicians have tried, this magic rain has never ceased.'
Ignoring the anxious Prince Reiss, I reached my hand up to the sky.
I activated Hand of God.
Using the best status-healing magic, I restored the raging sky to its original state.
A dazzling light emanated from my hand.
It became a pillar of light that pierced the clouds.
With a whoosh, the curtain of clouds parted, revealing the original blue sky.
'I-I can't believe it! It's a miracle! To see the blue sky again!'
'Whoa! That's some divine skill! As expected of the Demon Lord! That's amazing!'
The fairy siblings stared in awe.
'Sir Zeke! Thank you! Now the people can live peacefully! Thank you!'
'Demon Lord, let's hurry and calm the Kirin, then get back quickly!'
I thought that Reiss should definitely be the king, as I looked at Lilin.
"It's too early to thank you. This is merely symptomatic relief. For a fundamental solution, we must go to the Kirin."
'Ugh, what a hassle. It's already over, let's go home.'
"Reiss. Guide me to the Kirin's seal location."
'Understood, Sir Zeke!'
The fairy world was unlike the human realm, with exceptionally clear air.
Flowers blossomed, and the flowing river was crystal clear.
As we walked through the meadow, we eventually arrived at a deep forest.
The watchful fairies thanked us for stopping the heavy rain and guided us deeper inside.
'What is this, a huge rock? Where is the Kirin?'
Lilin said while gazing up.
There was a shrine made of stones twice the size of a human.
'The Kirin is sealed beneath this. The entrances here have been sealed by a hundred court magicians.'
'So we can't get in. What now?'
'I"ll call the magicians now. It will take a few days to perform the unsealing ritual, so please wait a moment.'
"No, that's fine."
I thrust my right hand forward, activating Hand of God.
I returned the sealing spell to its original state.
The shrine's stones shattered, revealing a staircase leading down.
'Incredible! To unseal something sealed by a hundred elite magicians in an instant! As expected of you, Demon Lord!'
'Aren't the court magicians kind of overrated?'
'You fool! The fairy's magic aptitude isn't comparable to high elves! Those elites are the chosen greatest magicians of the fairy court! Even together, they can't compare to you; he's just too extraordinary, Demon Lord is! Got it!?'
'O-Okay, I got it... Geez, no need to get so angry. Well, let's go, Demon Lord. Let's take care of this quickly."
I lightly tapped Lilin on the head and headed toward the shrine below.
