Volume 8 Chapter 30 Siege Of Devil Bael - Prelude
Sandra, assigned to the anti-Bael unit, used her magic, Thunderspeed, to accelerate and landed on Typhon's shoulder. She sat down and pointed to an ancient castle dozens of kilometers ahead.
"Typhon, let's go. Our destination is that star."
'Huh? We're going to a star?'
"Sandra-san, don't say random things. Typhon, that castle in the direction Sandra-san is pointing is our target."
'Got it. Right away.'
Later, Philia and Sur climbed onto this giant, which seemed to be about 50 meters long (≈164 feet long).
"Phew, this size is amazing! You can do so many things with it."
"It's scary no matter how many times I see it. Typhon, the most fearsome giant in the Greek mythology sphere. To think you'd be able to summon such a huge creature."
"I was just lucky."
Clay shrugged and brushed it off. Sandra climbed up to the top of his head and smiled, saying, "What a view."
Sandra's team consists of 4 members, including Sandra herself.
Sandra, Clay, Philia, and finally Sur. These 4 will work together to crush devilBael.
For now, Clay's Typhon would be the main attacker. The infiltration would probably be done by Sandra, Philia, and Sur.
"Alright, let's go. ―――Typhon, let's go!"
'Yeah! I'm gonna flyyyyy!'
At Clay's call, Typhon leaned forward. Sandra almost fell and hurriedly moved.
And so, the giant golem began to run.
Even though the distance was supposed to be dozens of kilometers away, it wasn't that far for a giant 50 meters long (≈164 feet long). It was still fast, although not as fast as the Ice Bird.
But that was a simple evaluation of distance. Sandra understood while leisurely looking around.

Smoke rose above the ancient castle. Looking up at the sky, the small black dots gradually became larger.

With Sandra's words, Clay shouted.
"Typhon! Defensive stance!"

Typhoon shielded his head and shoulders with his arms. A moment later, a deafening roar echoed.
Countless cannonballs fired from Bael Castle rained down on Typhoon's body.
"G, u, h, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!"
Typhoon swayed, stumbled, but didn't fall. He steadied himself and started running again. An indomitable giant. A summoned creature of the monster king. Such a reliable presence.
Sandra saw the cannonballs embedded in Typhoon's body. Each one was probably 2 meters in diameter (≈ 6.6 feet). A concentrated barrage that would destroy anything that came near. No flesh and blood could withstand it.
Sandra murmured.
"'Indra'."
It wasn't the red chakra baby, Swadhisthana chakra, that was activating. It was the second eye, Ajna chakra, that Wade had cherished. Sandra had secretly mastered it.
She peered through the activated Ajna chakra at the walls of Bael Castle. There stood a devil, Bael, with the heads of a cat and a toad on his shoulders, stroking his beard and laughing bravely.
'Hahahahahaha! To withstand my barrage head-on and still keep going is truly amazing! Investigation team! I don't know why you betrayed me, but I will do what I must for any enemy!'
And so! Bael raised his hand high.
'Crush them with a full-power barrage! Load! Aim!'
The cannon ports that had appeared on the castle walls retracted automatically, and new ones appeared.
'Target, ready!'
All the cannon ports moved slightly. It was the same precise barrage as before. It would be better not to think about Typhoon's giant body dodging it.
Then Bael swung his raised hand down.
'Fire――――!'
All the cannon ports belched smoke.
Far away in the castle, a cloud of smoke rose again. Sandra deactivated the Ajna chakra and told Clay, "They just fired."
"Got it. Typhoon, how many times can you withstand that barrage?"
"Bring it on! ... I wanna say that, but with this dirt body, there's a limit. If I take 2 more hits, I wanna rest."
"What's your recovery method?"
'If I don't move for a few seconds, I'll recover.'
"If we take turns, it should be fine, right? But I hate slow things... So, everyone, can you guys handle the bombardment instead of Typhon?"

As Sur swung his sword, its path became a huge wall of flames. The massive barrage of bullets aimed at Typhon's upper body was melted away by Sur's sword.
However, Sur said,
"Sorry! I was able to block the bullets aimed at the upper body, but I couldn't cover the bullets aimed at the lower body!"
'Guh...'
Typhon wasn't as weak as before, but he was still losing his balance from the massive barrage of bullets aimed at his legs.
But still, Typhon ran. He ran. And he even started laughing, 'This is getting fun!' and started accelerating, so Sandra patted his head and said, "Typhon's awesome."
"Just one more time, huh... Should we take a break here? Or..."
"Clay-chan, don't forget about me~."
Philia, in her full-body armor, patted Clay's shoulder.
"Philia-san."

Clay smiled in return. "Coming," Sandra, who was acting as the lookout for this team, said.
Clay gave an order.
"Sur-san, please continue defending the upper body! Philia-san, please protect the lower body! Sandra-san, please continue to be on guard!"

The 3 voices overlapped. A barrage of bullets flew down from the sky.
Boom. At that moment, Sur swung her sword, and Philia did something.
Flames protected Typhon's upper body. Philia did something, and protected Typhon's lower body. Sandra couldn't see what that something was from her angle.
Typhon laughed.
'Gyahhaha! With this, I can run forever!'
Typhoon accelerated with all his might. In the distance, Bael muttered, "Guuu! These guys are tough! Well then, I'll change the bullets!" and began to do something.
Since there seemed to be plenty of time left, Sandra asked Philia, who was on her shoulder.
"...Philia, what did you do? The baby in my stomach was bothering me, right?"
"Baby...? Oh, the Swadisthana chakra. ...Want to hear? Sandra-chan. Clay-chan, Clay-chan says Sandra-chan wants to know."
"...Sandra-san, it's better if you don't see. I'm regretting it."

Clay, who apparently witnessed it, was knocked out, and Philia, who showed it, was laughing heartily. It couldn't have been a simple attack. She's suddenly curious.

Typhon raised his front leg. His weight shifted forward suddenly. As if swallowed by a torrent of immense physical energy, the 3 of them were flung out like human cannonballs.
