Volume 6 Chapter 9 Seeking The Master
After leaving my iron lump sword with Gold, I headed straight for the guild.
My appearance drew the attention of adventurers, but I ignored them all and headed straight for the Counter. There, I was greeted by Nai.
"Hey, Wade-san. What's your business today?"
"I want to meet Mudi. How do I do that?"
"...This is another difficult negotiation, isn't it?"
Nai's eyes flickered as she thought, and she murmured to herself.
"One way or another, he has been going back to the 100th floor of Karditsa Big Dungeon regularly, so you can meet up with him. By the way, the warp to get there costs money."
"Please leave it with the lord. I think he'll pay if you say something like 'As an investment to defeat the Fist of the Dragon.'"
"Ah, you're going to use the lord's name? That's bold! But if it's a gold stealth weapon, it's almost like it's a family heirloom. I'll let you use it, so go ahead."
I was guided to a secluded room deep inside the Guild, and Nai led me there. As we entered, the receptionists looked at me and said, "Wade-san is here," and "Nai-senpai is guiding Wade-san."
Inside the room, I saw it. The magic array I had used to warp after defeating Eiosnight. A collection of countless runes.
"Great Rune of Teleportation."
Nai said.
"It's very convenient. If you understand the text and inscribe it correctly, you can use it as you please. But it's difficult to do it correctly, you know."
As she spoke, Nai quickly drew the teleportation array. The array lit up with a flash.
"Alright, go ahead. It will activate if you draw it correctly, so make sure to come back. If you don't come back, Karditsa will be finished."
"I won't get caught... probably not."
"That's right. If you don't come back, it's really the end. You're in a situation like that now."
"Ugh... it's too heavy. But, I'll go."
"Go ahead, then."
I smiled slightly and waved my hand, then stepped into the teleportation array. The scenery changed.
I found myself standing in the midst of a strong wind, with a deep blue sky. Underworld.
"It's been a long time since I've been here."
I looked around. If I went up one floor, would a new Demon (Majin) be sent as the boss? On the other hand, if I went down, would the world of Demon spread out?
I thought this when I sensed a presence and turned around. There, I saw my familiar old mentor, Mudi and Philia.
"Huh? What's going on... Wade?"
"Mudiiiiiiii!"
I shouted as I rushed towards them. Then, I swung my fist with all my might and jumped.
"'Brahma'!"
"What? If you want to deal damage to me, then you should also learn other Chakra――"
Mudi stopped talking and widened his eyes. Then, he smiled and started to swing his fist in response.
Cross-counter.
Both our fists, mine and Mudi's, sank into each other's faces.
"Ah..."
"Hah, hah, hah, hah!"
I groaned, while Mudi laughed. Then, he looked at me with an interested expression and said, "Oh, Wade! You don't seem to understand at all! Show me what you're capable of!"
"Haa... it's been a while since I've seen Mudi in such a good mood. Ah, long time no see, Wade-chan."
"Long time no see, Philia."
Mudi nodded in satisfaction, waving his hand. Then, he said,
"Three. Anahata Chakra, Ajna Chakra, Sahasrara Chakra. You're really good at observing your enemies and fighting back. That's a remarkable development."
Mudi said this, but Philia tilted her head, wondering,
"Mudi... is it possible that Wade-chan has already built 3 Chakras...?"
"What? Of course, he has. That's why his punch did affect me."
"Did affect you?! Wade-chan, I really don't get it! What kind of growth rate is this?"
Philia's surprise feels good. "I did my best!" I showed a thumbs up and she said, "You're the kind of person who can do their best...no, you've always been like that. I remember now."
Mudi smirked and asked,
"So what's up, Wade? If you came all the way to find me, there must be something. Just so you know, I'm not going to participate in any war Lord mentioned. Too much trouble."
"Haha... I was going to ask as a last resort, but it's okay if it's impossible. More importantly, I have some things I want to ask."
"You're eager. So, what is it?"
"I want to defeat the Fist of the Dragon. Will my current chakra be enough? If not, what kind of chakra should I build next?"
When I asked, Mudi hit my head.
"Don't ask such stupid questions, you idiot. If it's not enough, then increase your chakra. ...So, what is this Fist of the Dragon?"
I explained. It was an extraordinary power. Just by punching the air, a shockwave would be generated, and it would require all my strength just to counter it.
Mudi listened and then started thinking. He then said,
"You don't need to increase your chakra. But it seems like you'll need to use it in a deeper realm."
"A deeper realm?"
"Anahata Chakra is invincibility. Ajna Chakra is super vision. Sahasrara Chakra is the Rule of All Creation. These are superficial methods of using Siddhi."
I thought for a moment and said,
"Anahata Chakra is fundamentally the Siddhi of 'physical control.' So, it can also be used for physical enhancement...is that the idea?"
"Exactly. But your understanding is shallow. For example――"
Mudi disappeared from in front of my eyes with a laugh. I muttered, "Seriously?"
"Is that using Anahata Chakra?"
"Yes. I used Anahata Chakra to control my body and lost the 'ability to be seen.' That's why I disappeared."
Mudi reappeared in front of my eyes.
"Wade, forget common sense. Understand the source and use Siddhi more and more freely. You only possess the abilities to move your physical body, to recognize your abilities, and to think at the fundamental level."
Mudi added,
"Yoga is magic. Also, it's not magic. Yoga has no rules. You should think about it more carefully."
"...I understand. Thank you, I'll think about it."
As I nodded, Mudi curved his lips into a sly smile and said,
"Something about this going so smoothly really irks me."
"Huh? Why?"
"Shut up! It's because you're too damn agreeable, Wade."
"What do you mean?"
"That's why I'll hit you once."
"Ha?"
I thought Mudi was joking, so I glared at him with a surprised expression. But Mudi was giving me a wicked grin.
"...Are you serious?"
"It's a farewell. You'll understand what Siddhi is once it's undone."
"No way, wait!"
"I won't wait. Then I'll kill you if you lose to that Fist of the Dragon, Wade."
When I looked up, I realized Mudi's fist was stuck to my torso. A strange power was flowing into me from Mudi's fist.
"What the...?"
My tongue felt numb. I was punched and sent flying, and just managed to fall into a teleportation circle. I was teleported.
The scenery changed, but my vision was distorted. I was looking at something extremely low. And I couldn't move.
"Hey, Wade-san, you're back early... A doll?"
Nai appeared, but instead of being small as expected, she looked far above me. She crouched down and poked me.
"...Wade-san doll...? What does that mean?"
I wanted to know what was going on. Ah, am I now a doll? Why?
