Volume 6 Chapter 6, Part 2 The Graduation Ceremony, Why Does It Make Me So Sleepy?
It was 2 nights after the opening ceremony, but this time he should have gotten plenty of sleep.
Yet, 3 girls cast suspicious glances at Randy, who was sleeping with his mouth wide open.
Noticing this, Wayne shook Randy, urging him to "wake up."
Randy, shaken awake, rubbed his eyes and stretched widely.
Randy, already large, made an even bigger stretch.
It was certainly noticeable.
Lucius, who was greeting from the stage, couldn't help but smile wryly.
As Randy's actions caused the 3 girls in front to shrink back, he casually asked, "Is it over already?"
"Not yet."
With a furrowed brow, Wayne heard Randy let out a big sigh, saying, "What the hell..."
Wayne, exasperated, opened his mouth to speak to Randy.
"Your snoring was bothering Miss Catherine and the others. You should apologize properly."
Pushed by Wayne, Randy turned to Liz and asked, "Is that true?"
"It wasn't a bother, but..."
Instead of Liz, Cecilia explained their plans for the afternoon.
"In the afternoon? No, I have nothing planned. I intend to relax today."
The unexpected statement made the 3 girls exchange glances.
"Then, may I go have tea with Cecily in the afternoon?"
Liz's eyes sparkled as Randy nodded with a smile, saying, "Sounds good."
"It depends on the place, but if you talk to the people from [Dark Tide], they will provide discreet protection."
At Randy's words, Liz turned around in surprise.
"Aren't you going?"
"Sometimes it's important to have just girls... right?"
Randy shrugged, and Cecilia beamed with a smile.
Indeed, there were girl talks that could only happen because Randy wasn't there.
"Just make sure to keep tomorrow open. The principal has plans, and I want to finish the investigation early."
With a serious expression, Randy said, "We also have town building during spring break."
People displaced from the Church's estate and those wishing to move to Victor.
To accommodate them, the construction of a new town has already begun little by little.
During spring break, he plan to focus on the development over there.
"You... are you really planning to build a town?"
Randy shook his head at the stunned Wayne, saying, "I'm just helping."
Indeed, they had created various things until now, but it was hard to believe that Randy and Liz alone could build a town.
Well, to be precise, they could build it if they wanted, but without Randy and Liz, he wouldn't call it a town that couldn't be maintained.
"Things are already in motion... well, it's mostly about road maintenance and maybe designing some defense mechanisms?"
Honestly, Randy wasn't sure what could be done, but he was most eager to see the new town.
"Oh, well, good luck."
Wayne shrugged, and Randy tilted his head, asking, "What about you?"
"Who knows? Maybe I'll return home for a visit."
Wayne sighed.
Seeing his happy expression, Randy snapped his fingers in realization.
"By the way, Wayne. You're doing well, aren't you?"
Recalling that letter, Randy placed a hand on his shoulder with a mischievous grin.
"Huh? What are you talking about?"
Wayne furrowed his brows again, but Randy's mischievous grin didn't fade as he said, "Don't be shy."
"You sent a love letter to Lady Airen, didn't you?"
With a smirk, Randy watched as Wayne exclaimed, "No way!" and hurriedly covered his mouth.
Meanwhile, the 3 girls sitting in front were intrigued, with Cecilia asking, "What's going on?" as she compared Randy and Liz.
"This guy sent a love letter to Lady Airen."
"That's not──"
Wayne's voice rose again, drawing disapproving glances from those around him, and he glared at Randy with resentment as he hunched over.
After a moment of hunching, Wayne cautiously straightened up, glancing around.
"How do you know about the letter...?"
"So it really was a love letter."
Surprised, Randy replied, "That's not it," as Wayne grimaced dramatically.
Wayne, still mumbling, had likely calculated to send the mail after Randy and the others left Waldner.
Unlike the Mailbird, regular mail is transported by mail coaches, so it takes days.
They must have taken that into consideration, but it was perfectly seen by Randy and his friends who can teleport.
Wayne found it hard to accept.
Despite this atmosphere, Randy smiled and patted him on the shoulder again.
"Well, at least I'll collect your bones."
"So that's not what I mean!"
While saying that, the flushed Wayne couldn't stop the 3 girls from grinning.
'Then, let's meet again in the new school year──'
Lucius finished his greeting, and everyone applauded to celebrate it.
Investigation of the mysterious ruins.
The creation of a new town.
The scheming of the [Pilgrim of Truth].
And only Randy sensed a slight gaze.
A spring break filled with various intentions begins.
