Volume 3 Chapter 14 Jamael, the Demon Lord Targets the Country
Demon Lord Zeke was busy powering up his minions.
Meanwhile, on a remote island that served as their secret base, General Jamael of the New Demon Lord Army summoned two of the infamous Ten Commandments.
The air was thick with tension as the duo arrived—one towering and menacing, the other short and sharp-tongued.
'Yo, Jamael,' the tall one, Aban, drawled, cracking his knuckles.
'Why'd you drag us here? I was in the middle of something important.'
'Busy, indeed,' the shorter one, Flis, added, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
Jamael, unfazed, crossed his arms.
"Aban. Flis. I've got a special mission for you two."
Aban raised an eyebrow.
'Special mission? Sounds fancy. What"s the catch?'
"You're going to attack the Demon Lord and the Demon Lord Country at the same time."
Jamael declared, his voice steady.
Flis tilted his head, his expression blank.
'Simultaneously? Why?'
Jamael smirked.
"While the Demon Lord is distracted dealing with the Ten Commandments, we'll crush his country. Without his people or his kingdom to protect, he'll fall into despair. Simple, right?"
Aban scratched his head.
'So, one of us is just bait to keep the Demon Lord busy? That's your big plan?'
"Exactly."
Jamael said, pointing at Aban.
"You'll handle the Demon Lord. Flis, you'll lead the assault on the Demon Lord Country."
Aban's face twisted into a scowl.
"Bleh! No way!"
Jamael blinked, taken aback.
"What? Why not?!"
'Because it sounds like you're saying I can't take down the Demon Lord!'
Aban snapped, his voice rising.
'I've heard he's just some punk human kid. You want me to buy time against someone like that? You think I'm weak or something? Huh?!'
Jamael flinched.
"I'm not saying you're weak! But the Demon Lord isn't someone to underestimate!"
Aban snorted, crossing his arms.
'Tch. The great General Jamael, scared of a human? How pathetic.'
Flis nodded in agreement.
'Ridiculous, indeed.'
Jamael's eye twitched.
"You don't get it! The Demon Lord is stronger than you can imagine!"
In fact, he shattered Unbreakable's armor—the same armor that was supposed to be indestructible!
But Aban and Flis just rolled their eyes. They hadn't seen Zeke in action, and to them, he was just some overhyped human. Jamael's fear only made him look weak in their eyes.
Aban leaned in, a cocky grin spreading across his face.
'Alright, fine. I'll play along with your little plan. But only because I feel like it.'
Flis nodded again.
'Understood, indeed.'
As the two turned to leave, Jamael called after them, his voice sharp.
"Don't underestimate the Demon Lord—or his country. This isn't a game."
Aban waved a hand dismissively.
'Ha! As if we'd ever lose to a human!'
'Agreed, indeed,' Flis added.
And with that, the two overconfident majin strode off, completely unaware of the nightmare they were walking into.
