Volume 2 Chapter 9 Crossing the Sea to the Demon Island
The visitor to the Demon Lord's country was the Oni Princess and her attendant.
Together with them, I rode on the Fire Dragon, crossing the sea.
"Your Highness..."
"Demon Lord, please call me Sakura. And she's Shizuru."
"So, Princess Sakura. How is your country doing right now?"
According to Sakura, a civil war has broken out in their country.
"One of the retainers has colluded with demons and killed my father, the head of the clan."
"A civil war with demons... I see."
In this world, there are numerous races other than humans.
Demons, I've heard, are a group with incredibly powerful abilities that surpass even humans and Demonkin.
"Currently, my brother is leading the army to fight the traitors, but the demon forces are stronger than expected. If this continues, our clan will be destroyed."
That's why she came to me, the Demon Lord, for help.
"Hey, Demon Lord."
"What is it, Shizuru?"
Shizuru, the attendant, who had been looking annoyed since earlier, spoke to me.
"Why are you alone? The enemy is an army of demons!"
"Is it not enough with just me?"
"Of course not! I don't fully understand your strength. Our clan's fate is at stake. Why didn't you bring more soldiers with you?!"
"Shizuru! That's rude!"

I hadn't directly witnessed Shizuru's strength, so I didn't know how powerful she was.
It's understandable to feel uneasy when the reinforcement is just one person.
But I'd rather not bring the others and risk them getting injured.
'Hey, big bro, look! It's pouring rain!'
Out at sea.
Dark clouds loomed over the entire area, and thunder rumbled in the pouring rain.

I stood atop the Fire Dragon's head.
"What are you doing, Demon Lord?"
"I'm returning the sky to its original state."
"Are you crazy?! It's a storm! This isn't something one person can handle!"
I raised my hand into the sky.
I activated 'Hand of God.'
Using status recovery, I returned the weather to its original state.
The dark storm clouds that had loomed overhead began to dissipate rapidly.
Before long, a cloudless blue sky stretched far and wide.
"Unbelievable..."
Shizuru's legs gave way, and she sank to the ground, her voice trembling.
"You... You controlled the weather...!?"
"Incredible, Demon Lord! You calmed that massive storm!"
Shizuru was awe-struck, while Sakura looked at me with sparkling eyes.
"It took a bit of effort. I'll cast a physical enhancement magic on you. Ready to move?"
'Absolutely!'
I touched the fire dragon's back and activated Hand of God, stimulating its cells and enhancing its muscles.
'Feeling energized! Let"s go!'
The fire dragon spread its wings and soared at a speed several dozen times faster than before.
"This speed is insaneeee!"
I used a barrier magic to prevent Sakura and the others from being blown away.
After some time, we reached the skies above the island nation.
"Unbelievable... We covered a distance that would take half a month by ship in just a few hours..."
"Do you believe me now?"
Shizuru knelt before me and bowed deeply.
"I deeply apologize for my disrespectful behavior. You truly possess the power worthy of the name Demon Lord! Please, save us!"
