It was right after I treated the Kirin.

The fairy hurriedly flew into the shrine.

I thrust the small gear I extracted from the Kirin at her.
"Correct. I insert that, which is imbued with the Curse of the Ancestor, deep into the brainstem. And voilà, a foolish pawn that obeys me is complete♡"
Catareba chuckled dismissively.
...I understood in an instant.
This person was also a jerk who disrespected the lives of beasts.
"The Kirin was tough to make obey because it had strong resistance. Just when I thought it was finally listening...you show up."

Catareba wields a whip.

Then Catareba continued.
"I know you can't hurt beasts, right?"
'Ugh, what the heck? This old hag is too sneaky! The Demon Lord can't touch the beasts, so we'll be one-sidedly toyed with and killed! The worst!'
Catareba glared at the fairy Lilin.
"Shut up, you little pest. After I kill the Demon Lord, the next to be destroyed will be fairies."
'Eek! Demon Lord, please deal with this one!'
Lilin shrank back behind me.
"That was my intention from the start."
I took a step forward.
"Oh, are you sure? If you move even a step, I'll give the beasts orders to kill themselves...!"
'Damn it! Taking the beasts as hostages! Coward!'
Reiss wore an expression of anger, but Catareba was unfazed.
"Just win! Now, beasts! Tear apart that foolish Demon Lord and kill him!"
Catareba swung her thorny whip down on a nearby monster.
Crack...!
And I had caught the whip.
"What!? Unbelievable... When did you──!? You're so fast I couldn't see it! It's faster than the reports! Why!?"
'Well, that's probably because he has gained the power of the Kirin's lightning.'
The overlord has powers similar to a tamer.
This means that the more allies I have, the new strength I gain.
