Larc conducted business negotiations with the merchant and then guided him through the Demon Lord country.
In the evening, near the country's border.
"Thank you for today, Mr. Zeke. I appreciate you taking the time despite your busy schedule."
"Don't worry about it. We don't get many customers, so I wanted you to know what this country is like."
Unlike our allies, the beastman and elf nations, the Demon Lord country tends to be avoided.
There is still a lingering aversion among humans towards monsters.
"Mr. Zeke, this country is truly wonderful. People and monsters are treated as equals, living together and smiling."
Larc gazed with sparkling eyes.
"Creating such an amazing country, Mr. Zeke, you are truly remarkable!"
"Thank you. I hope you continue to support us."
"Absolutely! I will spread the word that the Demon Lord country is not the scary place everyone thinks!"
"Thanks a lot."
Changing people's perception that monsters are frightening cannot be done overnight.
We can only gradually dispel the negative image.
"Please share with your merchant friends that there are good suppliers for Mana Crystals."
"Understood! I will tell them that the kind and honorable Demon Lord is open to business!"
"Oh, stop it. You're making me blush."
With that, Larc bowed his head.
"I will take my leave now. I will come again!"
"Sure. Oh, right. Here, take this."
He handed over a palm-sized crystal plate.
"What is this?"
"[Crystal Scroll] it is."
"Crystal Scroll?"
"You know about magic scrolls, right? The ones that let you learn magic when you read them."
"Yes, it's a very rare item."
"This one has been improved. While the scrolls have a limit to how much you can learn, this Crystal Magic Scroll allows you to store magic within it, so you can use it anytime."
"What!? Are you serious!?"
Larc stared wide-eyed at the crystal plate.
"This contains my [teleportation] and [Telepathy] magic; use this for Telepathy when you have business, and use teleportation when you need to procure items."
"N-no, no, no! Mr. Zeke! Are you aware of the outrageous thing you're saying!?"
What is this child so surprised about?
"Mr. Zeke, this is incredible! With this, even those without magic aptitude can use magic, right!?"
"That's true. Well, the power will be weaker than normal."
For example, with teleportation magic, you can only go to registered locations, so its performance is inferior to using normal magic.
"But that's more than enough! If you register, you can go back and forth in an instant! The costs for round trips become completely free!"
"Yeah, that's good."
With a look of shock... Larc and I exchange glances at the crystal plate.
"Mr. Zeke... do you realize you're casually handing me an incredible invention?"
"Is it really that amazing?"
"It's an amazing item! If the magic society finds out, everyone will be stunned. A revolution will happen...!"
"You're exaggerating. My citizens all have that plate."
"C-can it really be mass-produced? This... ultra-high-performance scroll!?"
"Yeah. Look."
I use alchemy with the Hand of God, and a mountain of the same item appears on the spot.
"......"
Larc collapses to the ground with a thud.
"What's wrong?"
"...M-Mr. Zeke... what just happened? Was it a skill?"
"Yeah. Alchemy with the Hand of God can mass-produce items without limits... What's wrong?"
"No... I mean... are you some kind of god?"
"No, I'm just a beast veterinarian."
Shaking his head vigorously!
Larc shakes his head strongly.
"There's no way someone as amazing as you is just a beast veterinarian! Incredible... Mr. Zeke is truly remarkable!"
With sparkling eyes, she looks at me.
I don't think I've done anything that impressive, though.
"Anyway, please take this."
"Thank you! I'll make sure to cherish it, Mr. Zeke!"
Bowing repeatedly, Larc says.
"I want everyone to know. The current Demon Lord is not just strong and kind; he's a remarkable person who unknowingly causes revolutions!"
"No, that's an exaggeration. Well, see you later."
Larc used the teleportation magic contained in the scroll and left.
