This volume has been quite a long one. With new characters joining, I think our views on the existing characters have changed a lot too.
Now, let's introduce them as usual.

Hiiro Merifar / Atami Shou
- About his cooking skills
After losing his parents in a fire, he was taken in by his paternal grandparents in a port town. Because of this, he seems to be good at cooking with fish.
Especially, he seems to excel at sashimi and stews. It's surprising since it requires a lot of delicacy.
- About the idea of 'having to be the protagonist.'
His grandmother, Atami Yoshiko, has dementia and started mistaking him for his father, Atami Kei. When she pleaded, "Help me," Shou acted as if this mistake was true and kept pretending to be someone he wasn't.
In the end, when his grandmother passed away, he was freed from that curse, but pretending to be someone else during such a sensitive time left deep scars on his self-identity.
The idea of 'having to be the protagonist' is the price he pays for killing off his true self. It's like a cry from the identity that was kept submerged.

Quollio Batigan
- About romantic matters.
It seems that his family, the Batigan family, often brings up arranged marriage talks, which is a source of worry for him.
He doesn't show much interest in romance, but he reacts with a mix of laughter, disbelief, and frustration at Hiiro's clumsiness and lack of sensitivity. He seems to want to avoid it, but he's surprisingly responsive. It looks like he's trying to relieve the stress from his family's pressure in his own way.

He showed a mad scientist-like reaction to "God's Poison," which can turn people into beasts. He quickly restrained himself, but that danger still seems to surface even with a friend like Hiiro around.
However, considering that in the original story, Shura's Lævateinn appeared and captivated those around it, it might be a bit better.

Lyam Neshana
- About Appearance
Her hairstyle is twin tails tied in braids. The main color is cherry blossom pink, and it changes to a blue shade at the tips, which is a unique tone.
Her eyes are a mix of cherry blossom and blue colors, just like her hair.
Her face looks like a beautiful girl, and she often hides her face with her military jacket, which makes her seem really "cute."

Around 14-16 years old.
- About Magic
Normally, magic is said to have one attribute per person, but Lyam can use both blue and yellow magic. Her skills in magic are excellent, and the number of spells she has will definitely help her team in battles.
- About Mokumon
She has a white beast called 'Lamp' and uses it to bring in and out magic catalysts and tools. Mokumon has its own will, and it seems like they are very close friends. Because of this, she has less hostility towards beasts compared to others in her team.
- About Relationship with Hiiro

Sham Neshana is the twin sister, just like her name suggests. It seems like her wild personality often causes some chaos, but others seem to envy her brightness and honesty. Lyam also seems like a friendly girl, but it looks like she has some hidden issues. I hope her secrets will be revealed someday.

Not just Lyam, but Sham and the Neshana sisters seem to have a natural talent for sensing Magi. It's like how cats have great hearing. They showed an unusual reaction to God's Poison, so it seems they can feel the nature of Magi deeply.

Sham Neshana
- About her appearance
Unlike Lyam, her base color is sky blue, and it changes to cherry blossom pink at the tips. She has a fresh medium-length hairstyle, and her eye color is similar to Lyam's, but the sparkling shine shows her lively spirit.
Her outfit, with a loose top and shorts, seems to reflect Sham's restless personality.

She is incredibly cheerful and friendly. Right after meeting, she calls Hiiro "Hiiro" without Mr. and Quollio "Quo," showing her playful nature like a cat bouncing on someone's lap. It seems she shared a dorm room with Shura, and since then, she looks up to her as a big sister. Her boldness is enough to soften Shura's exclusive nature, making her hard to dislike.

She seems to struggle with magic and doesn't show any signs of using it, but instead, she stands at the front lines with a huge iron rod with a giant iron ball attached──quite a crazy weapon! She shows surprising strength that you wouldn't expect from her appearance, and her ability to handle many opponents is truly impressive.
While her sister Lyam supports and attacks from the back, Sham is a true vanguard type.
- About her relationship with Quollio
Sham is a bright person who gets along well with everyone in the squad, but it seems like she doesn't think too much. She often clashes a bit with Quollio, who is the smartest in the squad. However, their arguments feel more like a little sibling fight, so I think they actually get along well.

He has neatly trimmed short black hair and wears a black eye patch. He has a serious look with a well-groomed beard, quick movements, and always stands up straight, giving off a very strict vibe.

He is a strict and serious knight. Even in a knight order where corruption like bribery is common, he deals harshly with wrongdoing, earning him the nickname 'The Clean Knight.'
He used to be in charge of the entrance exams for the Einherjar Knights, but he was appointed captain of the Reginleif squad after stopping Lord Powell's evil deeds and capturing his group. Normally, a corrupt knight order wouldn't promote someone like that, so something must have happened. Shidou seems to be suspicious about it, but since he was made captain, he is working hard to fulfill his duties.
- About Relationship with Hiiro
Since he was in charge of Hiiro's entrance exam, he seems to recognize Hiiro's unusual determination and strong will, even if he is a bit worried.
Will he become a hero, a demon, or a hungry wolf? Among the Reginleif squad, Captain Shidou might be the one who understands Hiiro's mindset the best.

She has long, deep red hair like a rose and is beautiful enough to be the star actress of the famous Wagner theater troupe. Her stage name is Rose Carmine, but her real name is Roze Stalacua. She has a past of living in Joosa, a town known for its wine.
- About the past
About 20 years ago, in the Western Country of Asgardam, a strange event involving the red Magi led to witch hunts. After her mother was executed as a witch in the troubled town of Joosa, she had to survive on her own, even though she was only about 5 years old.
Being all alone and so young, she faced a lot of hardships, but she managed to survive. Eventually, while working as a pr**titute, she caught the eye of Director Drodo. He helped her follow her childhood dream of becoming an actress, and she began to shine.
Maybe because of the harshness of life or the fulfillment she found in acting, she hated Joosa but didn't think much about revenge.
- About becoming a witch
At first, she didn't think about revenge, but one day, Director Drodo told her that there would be a performance in Joosa. Confused, Roze learned the truth about the witch hunts in Joosa, specifically the conspiracy involving the Inquisitorial Council's white beast, 'Memento Mori.' However, she felt something for Hiiro, who touched her true feelings and even saved her life. After that, she reconsidered her revenge, especially after he spoke twisted words that made her think. She allowed him to witness her death as a witch and then disappeared from his sight.
Yet, the will to live the future that Hiiro gave her still burns inside her. It seems she is starting a new fight in a hidden place to uncover the mystery of the person who turned her into a Vengeful Witch.
In those eyes, it seems like there's an obsession with a nasty man who twisted her way of living. One day, Hiiro will probably learn how scary a woman can be when she's serious.
Now, since this is a long story, there are many new characters, and they are quite intense, so the introductions got a bit long. Sorry about that.
But in this volume, since we got some info about Atami Shou's past, it should be easier to understand his strange obsession. It might be a good idea to reread the previous parts here.
