"Reisha, are you leaving already?"
As night fell, I tried to sneak out of the orphanage without the children noticing, but Marianne-sensei stopped me.
"Yes, I had fun eating with everyone. I can't stay too long though."

As I walked out of the orphanage gate, I looked up at the sky.

――I need to find a new group of adventurers to join. And maybe steal some money again...

I felt guilty and selfish.
I know what I'm doing is wrong.
I know I can't play the victim.
But deep down, I seek redemption, and that realization made me feel really bad.
Lost in my thoughts, I didn't notice the person in the alley's shadow and startled at their voice.
"――Hey, can I talk to you for a moment?"
There was a man wearing black robe.
