Volume 5 Chapter 6 The Resurrection of Fyodor and the Mastermind
The Villainous Guildmaster sent out the Heroes, while at that moment...
Now, an Evil God is coming back to life.
"Hah...!? Hah... Hah... Where am I...?"
It was a place he had never seen before.
In a wide hall, countless books were piled up.
The books stood tall like towers, scattered everywhere.
"Why am I... why am I ALIVE!?"
Evil God.
His name is Fyodor Dostoevsky.
Once, he faced Act... and was defeated.
"Why... I was supposed to be killed by that HATED Act..."
Just then...
"Hey, are you awake, Fyodor?"
"WHO are you!?"
At the back of the tower of books, there was another mountain of books.
On top of the mountain sat a person with elegance.
"You... no, YOU are!"
The person was completely covered in black cloth.
"TRANSCENDENT!"
Fyodor sparkled his eyes and ran toward him.
The person called Transcendent looked down at the Evil God while sitting on the mountain of books.
"You helped me, didn't you?"
...Yes.
This man in black cloth, called Transcendent...
He is the boss of Evil God Fyodor.
In other words... the true mastermind behind everything.
"Hey, hey, hey, don't get the WRONG idea. I didn't do it for you."
The man in black shook his head lightly.
"Oh, that's [his] CATCHPHRASE."
He chuckled quietly...
"What do you mean?"
"Well, you don't have to KNOW. Now... Fyodor, let's talk a bit about your FUTURE."
Transcendent held out both hands.
"You have TWO paths."
"Two... PATHS?"
"Yes. One, die while participating in my EXPERIMENT. Two, die RIGHT here."
"Wha!?"
Fyodor was confused by the sudden proposal.
Either way, it seemed he would die!
"I like you a LOT, so I'll let you choose. Which do you WANT?♡"
"! I can't hold it in, UGH."
....
......Fyodor's eyes widened.
The world... flipped upside down.
No....
"! My neck's STUCK! HELP! Ugh."
Fyodor's head had somehow been cut off.
It was roughly attached to the neck.
He had no idea what happened.
And why was he still alive after being attacked in such a way?
How could he live in this state!?
Everything was beyond Fyodor's understanding.
A man with powers beyond human comprehension....
That was Transcendent.
"Killing you is EASIER than tearing a wet shoji. But you're a useful man. If you work for me as my SERVANT, I'll let you live a little LONGER♡"
"N, no way..."
Suddenly, his head was back in place.
Yet again, he had no idea what had happened.
He didn't even know when he was attacked.
Fyodor trembled...
That Evil God.
He shivered like a child scared of a ghost.
That was how... terrifying Transcendent was.
"I, I understand... I will HELP you... and DIE."
"Hmm♡ I thought you would say THAT~"
Transcendent clapped his hands.
"Now, I give you a MISSION. Team up with Demon King and take down Great HERO Lawrence and his FRIENDS."
"Take down the Great Hero...?"
He knew about Lawrence's strength from another dimension.
That's why....
"N, no way! I can't DO it! I will die!"
Fyodor shook his head, tears streaming down his face.
"Well, if you challenge them as you ARE, you will DIE. But don't worry. I will give you a SPECIAL talent."
He beckoned Fyodor to come closer.
As he approached Transcendent....
Slosh....
"IGYAHHHHHH! My EYES! My eyes!!!!"
Transcendent had poked Fyodor's eyes with his fingers and crushed them.
"Hey, hey, that's too MUCH. You're already better, RIGHT?"
"Huh...? Ah... oh, it's TRUE..."
Fyodor looks around.
Indeed, he had a clear view.
"I gave you special eyes."
"Special... EYES?"
As Transcendent nods, a large mirror appears in front of him.
"Th-this eye is...!?"
...In the mirror, Fyodor sees his reflection with [golden eyes].
"Eye of the TIME KING!? Isn't that the eye used by ACT!?"
Yes, the Evil God's two eyes were the same Eye of the Time King that Act had.
"Why do you HAVE this...?"
"Well, it's because I gave [him] the EYE, after ALL..."
With a swish, Transcendent takes off his black cloak.
What stood there was...
A figure that looked like both a woman and a child.
Long hair.
And... red eyes.
...Yes, the true mastermind behind Fyodor, the one controlling everything was....
"Ta-da, the MASTERMIND is Amou, Transcendent's master CHARACTER!"
...He was the one saved from being exiled from the Guild and fell into the abyss....
And the one who trained him... Amou.
The master of Frederica and the ruler of this abyss...
He was the one causing chaos in the world using Fyodor and the Demon King.
"Isn't it EXCITING that the mastermind is your MASTER? Hey, HEY?"
"Wait, Lord Transcendent...? What are you DOING?"
"Hmm, it's not something you need to worry about. Also, from now on, call me AMOU."
"Y-yes... Lord Amou."
Now then, Amou takes a breath.
"What begins now is the BATTLE of Demon King and Evil God ARMY vs Great Hero ARMY. You will use those eyes to kill the HEROES. Do you UNDERSTAND what will happen if you REFUSE?"
If he didn't obey, he would be killed.
It was implied.
"I understand..."
"Good. I love OBEDIENT kids. Now, you can GO. Hurry and LEAVE."
Darkness falls.
Then, suddenly, Fyodor finds himself on the ground.
"Ku, ku ku! Ku ha ha ha ha HA! HAAAAAAAAAAAAH ha ha HAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Like a madman, Fyodor screams.
"I did it! I DID it! I got the Eye of the TIME KING!"
It's no surprise he is dancing with joy.
"It's the same eye as Act AGE! Hya HA! Hya ha ha ha HA HA!"
The Eye of the Time King, held by Act.
It sees both the past and the future, the strongest magic eye.
How many times has he been made to drink hot water because of it?
But now that strongest eye... is in his hands.
"Act AGEEEEEEEEEE! After killing the HERO, next is YOU! I will KILL you!"
...And so.
The stage is set, and the final battle... is about to begin.
