A new person has come into Act Age's Guild, the villainous Guild.
A boy named Yaboy, who came from the countryside dreaming of making it big.
He managed to meet Act, whom he thinks is a villainous genius (or so he believes).
After a little while.
Yaboy was on his way with Act to the Adventurers Guild 'Gem of Heavenly Gift'.
Following the black-haired young man, Yaboy's chest swells with excitement.
(Yes! I did it! I became a subordinate of the villainous genius! Well, the process doesn't matter──SUPER lucky!)
The meeting started badly, but somehow Act seemed to like him.
This is a chance.
To rise up... it's a HUGE opportunity, he thinks.
(Come to think of it, what kind of place is Act Age's Guild? It's probably full of outlaws! There must be STRONG fighters and stuff.)
"What are you smirking at, you?"
Act stops and turns back to look at him.
"No! I just thought I wonder how soon we'll reach the Guild!"
"We've arrived."
Well then, he wonders what the headquarters of evil looks like...
Probably a secret base underground, or a tavern full of rough guys, or something...
"Wait, h-Here? Is THIS it?"
What they saw was a neat little building.
An open, airy design, a building full of cleanliness.
For the villainous headquarters, it was a bit TOO easy for outsiders to enter.
"Mr. Act, is that──Are you joking-ssu? Or a test?"
"What are you saying, you."
"No, but... this is Act Age's Guild. Why is it so... NORMAL, I mean..."
"Quit talking nonsense and get inside."
Despite some doubts, what matters isn't the appearance but what's inside.
(I see... so the real big baddies keep their office normal. To make weak info gatherers feel safe and squeeze their money! Haha... they're SO clever.)
"Very helpful advice, Mr. Act!"
"I wonder what this kid is looking at, what references he's using..."
"Don't know. Let's go."
With a puzzled Frederica in tow, Act enters the Guild.
The Guild was BUSTLING with members and guests.
"""Mr. Act! You must be tired!"""
Upon noticing Act, the Guild members all smile and bow their heads, greeting him.
Seeing this, Yaboy...
(Ah, wait, what? His subordinates are pretty normal... or rather, WHAT!? There are so many cute girls!)
A smiling Yui approaches.
Next is the S-Rank Adventurer Rozelia.
Then the head receptionist Katrina, and the healing room's Chocolade.
They're ALL beautiful girls and women.
(But wait, hold on. A villain is supposed to have a bunch of beauties around him, right? Ha! I see... all these people are Mr. Act's women!)
"I see, so you're Mr. Act-ssu! A big villain! NICE villain!"
"...Hurry up."
"Yes-ssu! I'll follow you wherever-ssu! I want to be a big villain like Mr. Act and make beautiful women moan with pleasure! Hyu!"
"It seems like this kid and Master haven't been on the same page from earlier..."
"Leave him be."
Hesitant.
Yaboy is led to the Guildmaster Act's room.
(This is the room of the leader of evil... It looks pretty normal... Wait, there's NO WAY it can be this normal. There must be... yes, a hidden room! That's where all the dangerous stuff must be happening! Where is that hidden room!)
SQUINTING, Yaboy scans his surroundings restlessly.
Meanwhile, Act and Frederica watch him from afar.
"Master, is that kid REALLY a talented rough diamond?"
"Yeah."
"Well, if you say so, it must be true..."
Yet, Frederica seems to have doubts about his qualities.
"Hey, Yaboy"
"Yes-ssu!"
Yaboy stands up straight and positions himself in front of Act.
"Starting today, you're my assistant... in simple terms, I'm making you my disciple."
"Yay~~~! I did it! I'm SO happy-ssu! I'm the winner of life! Yayyyyy!"
"You're so loud... Can't you see the Master is talking? Be quiet."
"Okay-ssu!"
But Yaboy felt EXCITED.
He became the assistant of the Guildmaster he admired.
He firmly believed this was his first step to success.
"Now, I will give you your first job."
"Yes-ssu! I will do ANYTHING! Is it collecting money-ssu!? Stealing-ssu!? Sneaking into the enemy base?"
"It's greetings."
"......What?"
Yaboy tilted his head.
"What... did you just say?"
"It's greetings. Go and greet the Guild staff you will depend on, so they remember your name and face."
Yaboy opened his mouth in SURPRISE.
With such a big bad guy, this first job was a bit boring.
Actually, it felt like a letdown.
But...
(I see... maybe this is... a TEST for newbies! They give me a boring, hard job to see if I run away!)
"Got it! Mr. Act, I will go greet the staff!"
Smiling, Yaboy nodded and rushed out of the room.
Left behind, Act and Frederica sighed at the SAME time.
"Master... is that kid going to be okay?"
"Yeah. Frederica, let Yui assist him. Also, tell Katrina to support him."
"Understood. Well... he is a honest kid, so he should grow, but to me, he just looks like a stone on the road..."
But in Act's eyes, he clearly saw the shine of TALENT in Yaboy, the boy.
That's why he picked him up.
Frederica understood that too.
"For now, we will watch him. Let's start with easy tasks."
