Volume 2 Chapter 49-2 The Hero, Burying the Four Heavenly Kings with Extraordinary Strength
Standing atop the spear is the handsome man with silver hair, Ulgar.
Wrapped in purple lightning, the spear paralyzes the enemy's movements.
Meanwhile, the spear's handle gives Ulgar the power of lightning speed.
'Ah, ah, this can't be happening! Why? How can you keep up with me!?!'
"Sorry, but being proud of surpassing light is a bit of a problem for me. For a powered-up guy like me, your movements are as slow as a fly stopping."
Ulgar casually strokes his silver hair with a composed look.
Act watches this scene through Eli's Distant View magic.
"Ulgar... you've finally become a full-fledged human on their side..."
Higami mutters in astonishment.
"What? What do you mean 'their side'!?"
"You've become a member of a distinguished party of non-humans, that's what."
"I can't believe it! Oh no!"
Seeing Ulgar talk with 0 tension, Jacky wears a look of despair.
'The level difference is just too great...'
The already powerful Great Hero Party.
With the power of an ancient hero's artifact added to them, they now possess truly unmatched strength.
"You should surrender for your own good."
Looking down at Jacky skewered on his spear, Ulgar speaks.
'Damn it! Damn it! Aaahhhhhhh!'
He's been humiliated by humans this far.
If he dies now, it will be the shame of demons.
Jacky decides to launch a final attack, trading his life for it.
'Ugh, ugh a, aaaaaaaahhhhh!'
Suddenly, Jacky's body swells hundreds of times over.
"He's causing his magic to run wild, trying to explode himself. He plans to scatter deadly magic, turning this planet into a dead one."
"N, no way! Hey Guildmaster! That's dangerous! Why are you so calm about this!?"
"Hmph! It's fine!"
Lawrence nods with a smile.
In that moment, Higami could easily imagine what would happen next.
"As long as I'm here, I'll never let this planet be filled with sadness!"
Lawrence removes his greatsword, sheath and all.
"Don't draw your sword."
"I've got it!"
Lawrence smoothly readied his greatsword, still sheathed.
Whoosh, the air trembled intensely.
Rising from Lawrence's body was a blinding light, like the sun.
The greatsword absorbed Lawrence's magic, glowing even brighter.
"Sever the sky!"
Lawrence swung down the greatsword.
That was all.
"......What? Is it already over?"
"Yes, it's done."
Higami tilted his head.
There was no trace around, despite Lawrence's slash.
Before, a terrifying stream of light would stretch out in a straight line, wiping out everything in its path.
"Eli. Activate Distant View magic."
In front of Higami, an image appeared of where Ulgar had been.
"What... is this...?"
Cliffs stretched out to the horizon.
It was a wilderness.
"I don't understand... What happened?"
"It was Lawrence's slash. No matter where you are, or who you are, it can wipe out your existence with its power."
Higami's mouth hung open, agape.
"I was trying to just get rid of Jacky, but I ended up scraping a star by mistake! I must reflect on this!"
"No, no, no, no. If a star can be scraped off so easily, that's dangerous."
"Lawrence is still beyond the norm. Oh, I healed it for you."
"You're not much different...!"
Higami shivered.
Lawrence had obtained a divine artifact.
But a sword only shows its true value when drawn from its sheath.
In its sheath, and with no effort, he unleashed a slash that could cut a star.
...Then, what would happen if he unleashed a serious strike with the greatsword drawn from its sheath?
"I don't even want to think about how terrifying that would be..."
Act nodded and spoke.
"Well done, Lawrence."
"Thank you! But it's all thanks to you, Mr. Act!"
Lawrence raised his greatsword with a dazzling sun-like smile.
"This greatsword, I'm really getting used to it! It's all thanks to you, Mr. Act, for finding this artifact! With this, I can cut through anything!"
Ulgar and Lawrence's party gathered around Act.
Everyone looked thankful to Act for giving them the best weapons.
Higami watched from a distance and sighed, "Hah..."
"Come on, Higami. Don't be so down."
Suigetsu patted her shoulder to cheer her up.
"I know. It's no use comparing myself to others."
"Exactly, Higami."
Act walked over to her and gently stroked her head.
"You did well."
"N-nya...! W-well... thanks."
Higami's ears turned red, and she mumbled shyly.
"You're blushing!"
"N-no! I-I'm not blushing!"
As Suigetsu teased her, Higami shook her head furiously.
"Higami, I think you should just admit it."
"Shut up! I-I don't like the Guildmaster at all!"
"Sure, sure!"
All of them laughed together.
Act was the only one who looked confused, tilting his head.
...And so, the Eastern Four Heavenly Kings were defeated by the Heroes' strength.
