Volume 2 Chapter 33 The Hero Party, Nurturing the Hero Party
I came to the north wall.
At the training hall.
To train the heroes of the Far East, Lawrence and the others gathered to talk.
"Let's start training!"
"Yay! I'm so excited! I get to train with Act again! I'm so happy!"
The big blond man, Lawrence, smiled and said.
"Don't get the wrong idea. I'm not teaching you directly."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
The hero from the Far East, Higami, tilted her head in confusion.
"Lawrence, you will teach Higami and the others."
"What! I don't understand!"
I handed out parchment to the heroes.
• Lawrence, Ulgar → Higami
• Suigetsu, Mida → Wood Hero
• Eli → Earth Hero
• Luna → Light Hero
"So, Ulgar, the first spear of this Hero Party, has to teach Higami? Is that right, Guildmaster?"
"That's right. I'll think of the right weapons and teaching methods for the heroes. But you, Lawrence and your team, will decide how to train them."
However, it seemed like Lawrence and the others didn't quite understand me.
"Guildmaster, what's in it for us? We're busy too, you know!"
"What? Are you not confident to teach others?"
"Hey! That's not it!"
"Then do as I say."
"Hmph! Alright! I, Ulgar, can teach others easily!"
It seemed like the others agreed too.
I nodded and said.
"Okay, let's start training!"

A few days passed.
Lawrence and the others were each teaching the heroes of the Far East.
"Uh, Sir Act?"
"What is it, Vivre?"
The Demon Dragon, Vivre, stood behind me in human form.
"Is there any meaning to this?"
"Yes. Soon, Lawrence and the others will notice."
First, I go to Ulgar and Lawrence who are teaching Higami.
"W-wait a minute!"
Higami is on her knees with a wooden sword.
"Higami! What's wrong?"
"I need a break!"
She raises her voice, but Lawrence looks confused.
"You've only done 9,999 practice swings!"
"A million swings for warming up? That's crazy!"
"Come on! It shouldn't take so long for a light warm-up before training!"
"Are you kidding? A million swings as a warm-up? You're nuts!"
Ulgar sighs.
"Lawrence. She's right. A million swings is too much for a beginner."
"Phew... You seem normal..."
"It should be about 100,000 swings, right?"
"You too?!"
What?
Ulgar looks shocked.
"100,000 swings is crazy too! I thought you were normal, not a monster!"
"I... I thought I was normal! When did I get poisoned?!"
I watch them from a distance.
"Looks like they're doing fine."
"What's fine about that?"
"Next, let's check on the others."
"Ugh..."
Next, I go to the wood hero.
The water hero, Suigetsu, and the tamer Mida are training him.
"[Mokuren] is a middle fighter, an all-rounder who uses vanguard and rearguard depending on the situation."
"Middle fighters have to understand the battle situation. Do you get it?"
Mokuren nods at Mida's explanation.
"This is training for understanding the battle. First, put this on."
Mida hands Mokuren a blindfold.
He covers his eyes with it.
"Okay, we'll attack you, and you have to dodge!"
"Huh!? No way, that's impossible!"
"You can do it! You can do it! Let's go!"
Suigetsu charges at Mokuren.
"Hey!? No way! Stop it! Aaaah!"
Mokuren is attacked by Suigetsu in a blind situation.
"Look, look, it's not just one enemy! Monsters are coming too!"
Mida whistles, and low-level monsters gather to attack Mokuren.
"Wait, wait, stop it! Stoooooop!"
The two stop their attack.
"What's wrong-degozaru?"
"I'm gonna die! This is too much!"
Mokuren raises his voice, and they both wonder... ?
They tilt their heads.
"You won't die from this little warm-up-degozaru!"
"You're being dramatic!"
"What!? Then go ahead and try!"
"Fine-degozaru!"
Suigetsu puts on a blindfold.
Mida tries to send the monsters to attack.
"Here we go-degozaru!"
