The Far East Hero Party lost to the Lawrence Hero Party.
Their leader, Higami, was in the forest at night.

The Shadow Ape showed its teeth and grinned fiercely.
'Before killing Lawrence, I'll have a little snack~'

Higami drew her sword and got ready.
But... after losing to Lawrence, she'd lost her confidence.

The ape quietly vanished into the dark.

A strong shock hit her back.

She flew fast and hit the tree trunk hard.
She then fell to the ground with a thud.

She felt like some ribs were broken.
Tears flowed from the pain and misery.
"Ugh... sniff... waaaah..."
'Wow! What a nice cry!'
The ape appeared from the shadows, grinning as he came closer.
Its long tail wrapped around Higami's neck and lifted her up.
'I'll slowly choke you to death...'
"H-help... me... please..."
'Ha ha! No one will come to help you, silly!'
Just then—
Slash...!
The long tail was cut off.
"Agh! Cough cough...!"
'W-WHO did that...?!'
A swordsman with blue hair in a ponytail stood in front of the ape.
"S-Suigetsu..."
"Lady Higami, I'm here to help!"
The once Water Hero, Suigetsu, blocked the ape's path.
"Y-you... why...?"
"More importantly, are you okay-degozaru?"
Suigetsu crouched down and touched Higami's chest gently.
"Yeah, I'll be fine."
"What do you mean fine...? Doesn't your body hurt-degozaru?"
The Water Hero could even control the blood in her body.
She repaired broken blood vessels and temporarily stopped the bleeding.
After that, she used it to fix broken bones and damaged flesh.

With a water shield and sword ready, Suigetsu stood in front of Higami.

The ape faded back into the darkness.

Suigetsu turned around and smiled brightly.
It was a cheerful smile she never showed in the party... Higami was confused.
"I learned from Lord Lawrence. What it means to be a hero-degozaru. Why we wield our blades."
Suigetsu shut her eyes and poured magic into the water sword.
"It's not to satisfy my greed...
A hero swings their blade to protect people's smiles!"
