Volume 2 Chapter 27 The Exiled Hero and Another Hero Party III [Higami II]
A few weeks after Suigetsu's departure.
The Far East Hero Party had landed in the eastern part of the Demon King country.
The leader, Higami, was heading toward the eastern fortress [East Wall] with 4 handsome men.
"Lady Higami! Let's RETREAT!"
The Hero Party was being attacked by shadow wolves.
The newly joined Water Hero advised Higami in this way.
"Huh! Why should we!"
"We need to regroup! Everyone is already in BAD shape!"
Including the Water Hero, the other heroes were all injured.
"Tch...! What is the Light Hero DOING!?"
"He's seriously INJURED! We must RETREAT!"
"Damn it! Why do I have to RUN away... damn it!"
However, they couldn't afford to lose the Light Hero, so Higami and the others had no choice but to retreat.
After a while.
"What are you doing, you FOOL!"
In the forest, the Far East Hero Party was camping.
Higami yelled at the Light Hero.
"How could you be DEFEATED by such WEAK enemies! This has NEVER happened before!"
Then, the Light Hero said apologetically.
"Originally, the Light God Sword Style has low combat power; it's a sword specialized in healing. Once the enemy gets close, I can't do ANYTHING..."
"Then why was it okay BEFORE!"
"That's because Lady Suigetsu was HERE."
Hearing the name of the woman who was expelled from the party made her angry, and she slapped the Light Hero's cheek.
"What!? Do you like that woman more than ME!?"
"That's not what I MEANT... Lady Suigetsu was covering our rear guard."
Just as the Light Hero said, Suigetsu had been covering front and back all by herself.
"Then, then you should do the SAME thing as Suigetsu! You're the same Water Hero, RIGHT!?"
Higami raised her voice at the newcomer.
"D-Don't say such UNREASONABLE things... There's no way I can do that."
"Huh!? WHY not!? If Suigetsu can do it, why CAN'T you, who is also a water Hero!?"
"Calm down, Leader."
The older Earth Hero scolds Higami.
"I-It's basically IMPOSSIBLE. Ms. Higami ignores what's behind her and charges in on her own. Just keeping up with that is already too much, and protecting the rear guard as well, not even a master of the Water God's Sword Style could do that."
"That's... then... who exactly is Suigetsu, who was able to do THAT...?"
With the new Water Hero joining, Suigetsu's high level became clearer.
At the same time, Higami's inability to see her skill was also exposed.
"Ms. Higami, if you don't change your fighting style, the party will be wiped out. Please don't push too far AHEAD."
Higami slaps the Water Hero.
"Shut UP! Who do you think you are to give me ADVICE!? You're just a NEWCOMER! To the Fire Hero, who is the LEADER of this party!?"
Higami raises her voice and shoves the Water Hero away roughly.
"You just have to OBEY what I say!"
"That's not... a party."
"Shut UP! I don't mind if anyone who DISAGREES with me just LEAVES!?"
Higami said it to threaten her.
She thought that saying this would make them cry and cling to her, not wanting to leave the party.
However, the Water Hero suddenly changes to a cold expression.
"I understand. I will leave."
"Wha!?"
Higami is taken aback by the unexpected reaction.
"Goodbye."
"W-Wait a minute! Why is it like THIS!?"
"I can't stand being in such a terrible party."
"Terrible party, you SAY!?"
The Water Hero says that with a scornful look on her face.
"What is a pawn? We are comrades who fight together, right? Thinking that a party full of DICTATORS and YES-MEN holds the future of the Far East makes me want to puke."
The Water Hero turns around and tries to leave.
"W-Wait! Where are you GOING!?"
"It's none of your business."
"If you disappear, what will happen to this party and the FUTURE of the Far East!?"
"A great Hero named LAWRENCE will do something about it."
Lawrence Hero Party.
She hears they are a group of extraordinary individuals who defeated the Four Kings of the North Wall.
"Even if a USELESS person like you doesn't try, he will definitely defeat the Demon King."
"~~~~~~~! Oh REALLY! I understand, just go ahead and leave!"
After being mocked multiple times, Higami was determined to expel the Water Hero.
"Goodbye, you worst Hero. I'll predict this for you, you all will face terrible times in the near future."
The Water Hero left without looking back, leaving Higami and the others behind.
"W-Wait, this is BAD, Higami-sama! We have to STOP him."
"Huh!? What's up with YOU! Are you all going to give me your opinions too!?"
The remaining Heroes shook their heads with pale faces.
They couldn't afford to lose the position as members of the Hero Party due to Higami's anger, so they ended up taking a conservative stance.
"I won't ACCEPT it! I REFUSE! Suigetsu is a useless swordsman. So it's NOT wrong for me to have expelled her!"
...However, the Water Hero's prediction would turn out to be spot on.
