Volume 2 Chapter 17 Oni Sisters Visit the Rumored Villainous Guildmaster V
Kasumi, the Oni, was on her way home from the Guild of Act, known as the Gem of Heavenly Gift.
"Hehe, hehehe."
"Hey, big sis, you seem in a good mood. Something happen?"
It was a night road.
The oni sisters walked hand in hand, making their way back.
"Yep! I made some NEW friends!"
Just the other day, the guards who had clashed with the noble son Bacamus were fired.
With nowhere to go, Kasumi invited them to join the Gem of Heavenly Gift.
When she brought them to Act, they got the green light.
"Thanks, little lady... no, boss lady!"
"Ah, boss lady...?"
The guards had eagerly expressed their desire to form a party together.
"Hehe. Friends, friends... hehe♪"
"Wow, so you FINALLY made some friends, big sis? That's GREAT! I'm so happy for you!"
While Kasumi had respected superiors and seniors, she had never had comrades who looked up to her.
So, she was genuinely thrilled.
"Big sis, you look so HAPPY every day!"
"Yeah, I guess...?"
"YES! Oh, I wish this happiness could last forever!"
Just then...
"Found you, WOMAN..."
As they walked along the night road, a familiar face loomed ahead.
"Mr. B-Bacamus...?"
"Mr. Bacamus?"
A vein throbbed on Bacamus's forehead, popping out.
"It's BACAMUS! Honestly, you FOOLS are as SILLY as ever."
"W-What do you WANT...?"
Caught up in her elation, she was slow to realize the danger.
She could tell immediately that they were surrounded by thieves.
"Isn't it OBVIOUS? I'm here for REVENGE on the RUDE one who refused my offer as a nobleman!"
Just the other day, Kasumi had been approached by this man, who wanted her to become his personal Adventurer.
Of course, she had turned him down.
On top of that, she had lost her temper when he insulted Act and nearly raised her hand against him.
"A WOMAN like you shouldn't get so COCKY! I'm the ELDEST SON of a noble family, you know?"
"What... are you TALKING about? I'm NOT being cocky at all."
"That ATTITUDE pisses me off! You have NO RIGHT──"
...It seemed this foolish son was jealous of Kasumi.
He'd always admired adventurers and thought he could easily conquer dungeons.
But, the result was a quick and embarrassing trap, a complete failure.
Then Kasumi arrived, effortlessly breaking through the dungeon.
That had to be infuriating.
The fact that she was a woman probably stung his pride even more.
"I'll TEACH this CONCEITED woman her PLACE."
With a snap of his fingers, goons materialized around Kasumi.
"Big Sis..."
"Stay back, KANAHO."
Kasumi prepared herself.
"Take her DOWN!"
Damn it...!
The goons swarmed Kasumi all at once.
Hmph!
Kasumi vanished.
"What the...? Where'd she GO!?"
In an instant, she appeared behind them, striking a goon's neck with a precise blow.
"What are you DOING!? Finish her OFF!"
But Kasumi's skill had grown to the level of a master thanks to training with the Gem of Heavenly Gift.
Thieves, by the nature of their profession, often had to act alone.
She was well-trained in hand-to-hand combat, especially when outnumbered.
"I can do this... this much is manageable!"
Just then...
"Hey, GIRL! That's ENOUGH, you know!"
"Eeek! Big sis!"
The goons had taken Kanaho hostage.
"Damn it! You COWARDS!"
"Settle down. Or this little sister of yours WON'T last a second, got it?"
Kasumi, with her precious sister held captive, stopped resisting.
Both arms are taken away by the slugs and the others and are restrained.
"That's FINE... Now, and."
Bacamus comes along, grinning.
"It's NOT too late to change your mind. If you become my personal slave, I might let you go unharmed."
"...Who would EVER want to be under someone like YOU?!"
"Oh, is that so?"
Bacamus delivers a kick to Kasumi's abdomen.
"Cough...! SISTER!"
THUD, THWACK!
Bacamus continues the assault with punches and kicks.
"You DARE act all HIGH and MIGHTY before ME, you BITCH!? Who do you THINK you are?! Damn you! DAMN!"
"STOP IT! Please, STOP!"
Kasumi's agonizing scream echoes through the late-night streets.
It seems the area has been cleared of people, as no one comes to her aid.
After a relentless beating...
"Phew... That felt good."
Bacamus mutters with satisfaction.
Kasumi, her face swollen from the blows, lies collapsed on the ground.
"Learn your lesson and don't you ever dare get COCKY in front of ME again."
"..."
"Hey, you guys. Take this girl with us."
"Are you SURE about that, sir?"
"Yeah. She's got a nice body, so I'll show her a good time."
Bacamus lets out a creepy chuckle.
