Volume 2 Chapter 15 Oni Sisters Visit the Rumored Villainous Guildmaster III
The Oni sisters joined Act's guild, Gem of Heavenly Gift.
Older sister, Kasumi, had finished her skill training and was in the midst of field training.
One day...
"Oh man, sorry, Kasumi. We messed up the quest."
Guild members returned to the guild hall from the dungeon.
"It was tougher than we expected."
"No, it's my fault. I didn't notice the Monster Parade."

Snorting, Act made a noise through his nose.
"Hurry to the infirmary."

Act glared at her irritably.
"I-I'm sorry! I'll go to the infirmary right now!"

Kasumi went to the infirmary and had the medical staff examine her injury.
"It's okay, just a scratch. You're lucky♡"
The medical staff member, Chocolade, said with a smile.
"As always, Senior Choco has such big boobs, it's both sexy and beautiful~..."
The Guild Members looked at Chocolade with admiring expressions.
Her ample bust, peeping out from an open-necked shirt, paired with a tight black skirt.
Dressed in white and smiling, she truly looked like an angel in a lab coat.
"Come on, everyone. It's not fair. This is the first time Kasumi has failed a request, and if we don't take her to the infirmary first, the Guildmaster will be angry, won't he?"
"Y-yes, I'm sorry..."
Kasumi's eyes went round.
"Sorry, Kasumi. Did you get scolded?"
"Ah, no! It was my mistake for making a rash decision. ...Um, can I ask something?"
Kasumi asked the Guild Members about something that had been on her mind.
"Even though I failed the request, Mr. Act didn't get angry about it. It's strange, isn't it?"
But the Guild Members just exchanged glances and chuckled.

The party leader said with a knowing smile.
"He cares more about whether we're hurt than the success of the request. That's his top priority."

The Guildmaster is the head of the Guild.
To fail a request is the same as tarnishing the organization's trust and spitting in the Guildmaster's face, right?

The leader said this with a genuinely happy smile.
"That guy cares about us a lot. He respects us as individuals, not just as disposable pawns."

All the Guild members were smiling.
Kasumi thought they must really trust Act that much.
"Kasumi!"
Chocolade smiled as she came over with a freshly brewed cup of coffee.
"Don't hold any grudges against the Guildmaster, okay? He wasn't upset because the request failed. He was angry because you didn't take your injuries seriously."
...Caring more about the well-being of Guild members than the Guild's reputation.
"Is there really a Guildmaster like that in this world?"
Then, including Chocolade, all the Guild members nodded with bright smiles.
"That's our incredible Guildmaster, Act Age!"

After receiving treatment from Chocolade, Kasumi visited the Guildmaster's room.

"Dr. Choco said it's nothing serious, so don't worry."

Act sipped his coffee without changing his expression.
"BIG SIS! YOU'VE GOT BANDAGES ON! W-WHAT HAPPENED?!"
Kanaho stood next to her, eyes wide and shouting.
"Oh, I just got bitten by a monster."
"Wow! Th-THAT'S TERRIBLE...! Does it hurt? DOES IT?"
"I'm fine! You're making a big fuss over nothing..."
But...
"Sniff... Big sis, I'm so glad you're okay... WAAAAH..."
Kanaho began to cry.
At that moment, Kasumi finally realized her serious mistake.
"Ah..."
That's right.
I was, WRONG.
Nothing serious about the injury?
Don't joke around.
What if that injury got worse and I... died?
If I died, leaving my little sister all alone...?
...Who would protect her?
"I'm sorry, Guildmaster. I was mistaken."
He must have known this all along.
We don't have parents.

So I need to take care of myself more than anyone else.
