Michio quickly called out, "Status open!".
"What's this?"
A tablet-sized screen appeared in front of Michio.
On it, Cain's name and status were displayed.

"What the hell, this lousy status! HP: 5, you'd die right away! But is this really what a 5-year-old's status looks like? Gotta be extra careful."
Michio grumbled to himself as he followed Luke out of the room.
"You, what about Cain's skills? What kind of skills did he get?"
"How many skills did Cain get?"
Lydia and Alice crowded around Luke.
"He got 2: [Earth magic] and [Magic circle magic]. Plus, he inherited [Healing magic] from Linore."
Luke explained to the two, carefully avoiding any mention of the blessing.
"Wow, Cain has 3 skills, that's great!"
Alice hugged Cain with a beaming smile.
"Cain also got a skill from Linore mommy, huh?"
Alice seemed very happy.
'Hm? Sis Alice also inherited a skill from Mother Linore?'
Cain looked up from the status display at Alice.
By the way, you have to intentionally show your status if you want others to see it.
"I get [Earth magic], but what's [Magic circle magic]?"
Lydia asked Luke.
"I don't get it. I'll write a letter to Benjamin and ask him. But, [Earth magic]..."
Luke makes a grumpy face.
"It's no use worrying now. Let's go back to the mansion and talk."
Lydia smiles and puts her hand on Luke's back, walking towards the exit.
"Oh, right, Cain."
Luke starts talking to Cain, like he just remembered.
"'Status Open' appears when you think it. A board pops up in front of your eyes. That's the status board. You can show it to other people, but you usually shouldn't show it to even your family, and it's rude to look at it. It's important, so don't forget."
"Why?"
Michio asks Luke, thinking, 'Knowing your status is the basics of playing with a party.'.
"Because the status board shows your strengths and weaknesses. If people know that information, it puts you and everyone around you in danger."
"I don't really get it. I think knowing your friends' info is a strength, though."
Michio asks, not understanding.
"Hmm, you're only 5, but you talk about 'friends.' Okay, well, knowing your friends' info can be a strength, but it can also be a weakness. A long time ago, there were people who guarded the royal family. The guards shared their status board info because there were several of them. But the info leaked to the enemies, and the royal family was in danger. After that, they made it a custom not to show the status board to other people."
Luke explains to Cain, like he's teaching him.
"So, you generally shouldn't show it. When you get older and can judge the risks of showing your status board, you can show it to people you choose."
"Yes!"
Michio answers, happy.
The 4 people get in the carriage and go back to the mansion.
Michio goes back to his room and starts checking the details of his status board.
'[Magic circle magic]... what's that?'
