Volume 5 Chapter 2 ACT.133 Three Purge Knights (I)
A massive sailing ship, its white sails fluttering, glides into the port of the trading city, Shaura, carried by the gentle sea breeze.
On the ship, a woman gasps in awe, gazing at the sights of Shaura.
"This is the famous Shaura!"
The woman, tall and slender with red hair tied back, is Rize Howell.
She is a Purge Knight, ranked 8th in the Holy Church.
"I haven't had time since becoming a Holy Knight, but I always wanted to come here!"
"Th-That's great," the voice stutters.
A pale-faced man appears behind her.
His reddish-brown hair is darker compared to Rize's, and his tawny eyes shine.
He has freckles on his cheeks, giving him a somewhat rustic appearance.
"Are you okay with the seasickness?"
"I can't handle it, so I want to get on land quickly."
The one whining to Rize is Alfonso Gladstone, a Purge Knight ranked third.
He may *not look* it, but he is known as the "strongest knight."
"Still, it's amazing that all 3 of us Purge Knights are here for this mission!"
Normally, a Purge Knight is a one-man army.
Usually, only one knight is assigned to a mission, and 2 would be considered excessive.
Yet for this mission in Shaura, 3 Purge Knights have been called.
Moreover, the choice of knights makes it stand out as somewhat excessive.
"Take me, the lowest rank out of the bunch, as a given. But the others are Mr. Alfonso, third ranked, and second-ranked──"
"Even though we have ranks, I believe we are all equal here."
Just then, a third figure steps onto the deck, cutting into Rize's words.
If you had to describe this person in one word, it would be "prince."
They have flowing silvery-blue hair and stunning sapphire-blue eyes like jewels.
His face was absurdly well-ordered, like a piece of art, and above all, a noble elegance seeped out from everything that made him up – his voice, his words, his demeanor.
"Sir *Belta*!"
Just after being told about equality, she immediately addressed him with a title, and Rize's expression turned to one of surprise as she covered her mouth.
Seeing her reaction, Belta – the second in the Purge Knight sequence, "The best knight" Belta Di Zeguel – raised his hand and conveyed to Rize that he wasn't bothered by it.
"I'll explain the details of the mission right after this. Especially you, Rize, I'm expecting great things from you, right?"
As Belta lightly tapped her shoulder, Rize, who had no idea why he would have any expectations of her, put on a puzzled expression.
