"So, now that your long job is finished, you'll be here for a while, right?"
"Yes, my boss gave me some time off."
Rai is pulled by the hand and forced to move to the counter seats, where the conversation continues.
Seeing a good chance, Rai asks the Kawette family a question.
"By the way, what do people usually do on their days off?"
""──Huh?""
Rai says it casually, and Saria and the others stare at him with question marks floating above their heads.
"Well, normally I train──um, I exercise to stay healthy."
"Yeah, you always go running in the morning."
"But now that I'm injured, they told me to stop doing heavy exercise."
When Rai says this, Saria nods like she understands.
The one to speak instead of Saria is her father, Ms. Kawette.
"Then I think you can just do whatever else you like."
Ms. Kawette meant it as the most obvious statement, but Rai just touches his chin and falls silent with a puzzled look.
"──Something I... like?"
"Like a hobby."
"──A hobby?"
Kawette and his wife are taken aback by Rai's unexpected reaction.
He's still at an age where he could be called a boy, yet he seems genuinely worried because he doesn't know what he likes.
"For the past few years, I've been working nonstop. Even on my days off, I just prepared and waited for work, so I really don't have anything like that."
"Rai, is Holy Church really a decent place to work──?"
The working conditions at Holy Church are basically great (white).
──Except for the Purge Knights (like Rai and the others).
"I see, I see."
Having heard most of the conversation, Mrs. Kawette, who was quiet until now, folds her arms and nods.
Then she claps her hands loudly, as if she's just thought of something.
"Saria, you're off tomorrow!"
"Huh? Where did that come from?"
Saria looks at her mother in confusion, wondering why she was suddenly told to take a day off.
"This is Benetonash, the biggest tourist city around. There's tons to see and enjoy. So──"
With a big smile on her face, she said this to the girl.
"Tomorrow, go on a date with Rai and have fun!"
"W-w-what, Mom!?"
