After confirming Sister Dina's departure, Rai picks up the weapons and armor she left behind.
He carefully checks every piece, running his hands over them for hidden traps.
He doesn't trust Saint Stella.
Honestly, how could he trust someone who *pulls stunts like this*?
"──Since when? How?"
He scans the area subtly──no signs of surveillance.
Yet SaintStella had already anticipated his moves and "helped."
Just handing over weapons and armor, nothing more.
With her power, she could've done more.
If she could *predict* his actions, she should've guessed his motives too.
It's mismatched.
Unsettling. Doesn't add up.
Like she's moving chess pieces with meticulous planning. Or maybe she's just winging it.
"Either way, it stinks."
Rai mutters his blunt opinion and sighs.
Still, he's grateful for the help──whatever her intentions.
Finding no tampering, he dons the black armor.
His trusted sword and round shield settle into his grip like extensions of his body.
"──Good."
He tests the weight of the blade with his injured right hand.
"If I don't push it, I'll manage."
Nodding, he makes this unreliable self-diagnosis.
Now clad as the Purge Knight, Rai bends his knees and leaps.
Scaling the alley wall, he uses cracks and ledges as footholds to vault onto the rooftops.
Through his visor, his glowing eyes lock onto Dominic's suspected hideout.
"No delays."
Crouching low, he stomps hard enough to make the roof creak.
Rai dashes across rooftops, avoiding eyes while taking the shortest path to Dominic.
To defeat him──no, to save Saria.
