Dominic Dubois.
He was a man who, until about 3 years ago, led Holy Knights in the Holy Church.
The Holy Knight leader is a different peak from the Purge Knights for Holy Knights.
Unlike Purge Knights, who are chosen purely for skill, the Holy Knight leader needs many abilities beyond fighting.
They need tactical vision, charisma, intelligence, sociability, and diplomacy.
They must have high abilities needed for public life.
So, being a Holy Knight leader is like being the face of the organization for the Holy Church, almost like a Saint.
──That's why his defection was quite shocking back then.
"You think I would forgive you after you hurt Saria?"
"You will *forgive* me, you will."
That's why Rai doesn't understand this man's true intention.
──There's no way he would forgive.
This man harmed Saria, betrayed the Holy Church as a Holy Knight leader, and even joined the Reincarnators.
Especially since he was a close friend of his late master and an old acquaintance.
Dominic had betrayed Rai many times, making him nothing but an enemy.
So, in Rai's eyes, his inappropriate smile looked extremely arrogant.
Under the table, Rai clenched his fists so hard he might bleed.
Even with such anger, Rai could still keep calm on the surface because he worried for Saria.
If he killed the enemy in front of him, what would happen to her because of his allies?
That's why Rai sat at the negotiation table for now.
──However, no matter what, he would *never* join them.
"So, after taking Saria, what do you want me to do?"
"To put it simply, we want you to join us."
Blood dripped from his fist under the table.
"──Which mouth says that?"
"I know what kind of kid you are, but I still need you."
Dominic is so cool, like he's winning the game.
Where does he get all that confidence?
"If you know how much I hate you all, you're really stupid."
"But people can change easily, just like me. Like, what about her... SarSar, right?"
Dominic sits up a little, looking straight at Rai, and says:
"What if she became a *reincarnator*?"
