Volume 4 Chapter 15 ACT.106 Insects in the Heart of the City (II)
Among the tourists trying to see the holy spring of tears, there was one suspicious man.
He had no family or friends around him and was looking down, but his wide eyes kept darting around.
It looked like he was more worried about the people around him than the tourist spot itself.
Noah *couldn't miss* that clumsy man.
"Not very skilled, huh?"
He whispered this and quietly moved into action.
Without going against the flow of people, he approached the man.
His special way of walking made him blend in rather than disappear.
Noah Lowe was the weakest among the Purge Knights in direct combat.
In a face-to-face fight, he would lose even to the newbie, Rize.
──But if you count strategy, that weak label changes.
His true skills, taken from the Heretic Hunter group, showed outside of fighting too.
As he stayed close to the man, he took a thin needle from his sleeve with just his fingers.
Then he flicked his wrist and threw it toward the man's hand.
"Ow, what?!"
The man felt a sudden sting like being bitten, and reflexively raised his left hand to check the spot.
"H-Huh?"
Suddenly, he felt dizzy.
It was like he caught a bad cold, and he was really lightheaded.
The man, about to fall, had someone catch him.
"Are you okay?"
Noah approached him with a calm face.
"What's wrong? Do you feel sick?"
"N-No, I'm fine!"
Noah acted sweet and worried, like he really cared.
The man tried to refuse Noah's help, stuttering── but...
"Come on, don't say that."
He quickly put an arm around the man's shoulder, and in that moment, he stabbed a second needle into his neck.
The man was hit by an even worse dizziness and felt drunk, unable to even speak.
Noah smiled and helped the man through the crowd.
This way, Noah got rid of a threat without anyone, not even the man trying to cause trouble, noticing.
