"So, we're going to watch and check every place in town with the Holy Knights."
Rai heard the secret words whispered to him and put his hand to his mouth, thinking hard.
He never imagined such things happened while he was away.
Rai knows the danger of the Chaos Cult very well.
If they are nearby, that's a serious threat.
So, Rai speaks up.
"I want to cancel my vacation and join the mission now!"
"That's a no-go!"
Noah quickly rejected Rai's idea.
Rai widened his eyes at Noah's unexpected response.
"Come on, you can't put work before a date. That's just nonsense!"
Noah said this in a *slightly angry and teasing way*, like a senior scolding a junior.
It was unusual for Noah to speak like that.
"Besides, you're human too, so take some time to relax and recharge!"
Saying this, Noah smoothly moved behind Rai and nudged him toward Saria.
"SarSar, take care of him!"
"Noah!"
When Rai turned around, Noah smiled meaningfully and quickly disappeared into the crowd.
It was probably Noah's way of looking out for Rai.
Rai understood that, but he still didn't feel okay about it.
It didn't make sense to him, not just in logic──his feelings were confused.
Saria, seeing this, asked Rai worriedly.
"Rai, did something happen with that guy earlier?"
Turning back to Saria, Rai thought hard when he saw her face.
If the Chaos Cult is hiding in Benetonash, maybe they should go home today.
That would keep Saria safe.
But, of course, the Chaos Cult's matter is a secret.
He could probably avoid the truth and send Saria home──maybe.
Saria is a good girl, so she would understand his true feelings even if he didn't say them.
But, if it becomes that way──.
He glances at her again.
Seeing her worried look, Rai──.
"──No, it's nothing."
──He couldn't make such a cruel choice.
