Special Agent Priest Curtis lightly bows to the 3 black knights at the round table.
Noah Lowe, ranked 7th, watches him with his chin resting on his hand.
"It's fine, but I'm still busy with Eltor's job──oh, I mean the former Count. I haven't finished at all."
His gaze and tone tease Curtis, who is half annoyed.
Even though Curtis expected this reaction, it still makes him feel down.
No matter the organization, being a middle manager is always stressful.
"Sorry, but a more urgent job came up."
"Another Reincarnator?"
Howard Hooker, ranked fifth, asks while stroking his trimmed beard.
This strong man, with his beard and shaved head, is the longest-serving Purge Knight since Aslan Aldabaran died.
Curtis shakes his head to deny it.
"Then it must be something about a cult."
Leone Godwin, ranked 4th, guesses this after seeing Curtis's reaction.
Even though they fought hard recently, he seems completely fine now.
Slightly awed by his incredible strength, Curtis continues quickly.
"Yes, some members of the Chaos Cult have sneaked into Benetonash."
──Chaos Cult.
They worship a god of chaos and truth, opposing the goddess of order and hope the Holy Church believes in.
They also admire the Reincarnator, the apostle of their god, and are considered a heretical group by the Holy Church, marked for extermination.
"Why are they at the Holy Church's headquarters?"
"The reason isn't clear, but they might cause destruction, so please deal with them as soon as possible."
There is something the Holy Church must really worry about.
"Before they turn the people of Benetonash into reincarnators..."
There were rumors that the Cult of Chaos had a secret art that could remind people of their past lives──an art to create Reincarnators.
