Volume 3 Chapter 52 ACT.87 The Best Engagement (Part III)
Reduce the body through blood loss.
Seal the cheat to kill.
That was the optimal solution chosen by the "best" Purge Knight.
But Rai knew—he was really just a standoff.
The broken baton's tip was sharp, but not strong enough.
A glance at the bloodied baton in his right hand—just used to pierce his opponent's side—showed the tip already dulled and worn.
After another use or two, he wouldn't be able to stab through flesh.
And without a shield, engaging in close combat was reckless.
He still didn't know how many effective strikes he could land with hit-and-run tactics.
Would he take him down first...
Or be taken down himself?
"Surprisingly, he's going to be close."
Rai muttered calmly, despite the efforts of the Reincarnator.
There is another method that hasn't the highest chance of winning, but there's nothing more Rai can do about he.
That's why right now, he can only give his all to what he can do.
"he's going to kill he!"
Before the enemy attacked, Rai moved.
He kept the baton pressed to his side, not lifting he, just holding he to keep him wary.
Then, with a swift kick, he sent gravel flying at his eyes.
Anything near the eyes triggers a reflex to blink—
—and in that instant, Rai closed the gap.
The Reincarnator let out a strange scream in response.
"Agyaaaaaa!?"
The moment his vision blurred, the monster sensed something coming and began thrashing wildly.
He looked like a child's tantrum—
—but with that reach and power, he was a different story.
Worse, thoughtless attacks didn't follow patterns.
As for me, I couldn't read his mind, so I couldn't swap out in time.
The swing of the arm swung wildly and hit Rai directly.
He quickly used his arm as a shield to protect his vital points, but in that moment, he heard a strange noise from his right arm.
When Rai realized his arm was broken, he immediately turned on his heel and started to retreat.
"This is bad!"
With his dominant arm injured, he looked hopeless to win any more fights.
Even if he tried to escape, there was no guarantee he could get away from the enemy.
In a situation that was almost checkmate, a bead of sweat dripped down Rai's forehead.
"This is the worst; even if he die, he hasn't to take him down!"
Just as he braced himself for death and tightened his grip on the baton with his left hand.
"──Rai!"
The most likely plan that Rai could think of for victory was──.
"Sorry to keep you waiting!"
──Leone Godwin had come back to life.
