Minori grabbed my left arm without holding back and pressed it against that thing.
Finally, the fire went out.

The captain's loud voice rang out, and when I looked towards Emerada, the fiend was tilting its upper body back, gazing at the sky again.
Dark clouds were starting to gather above.
It looks like it's planning to channel lightning again.
But since I didn't know how the lightning would affect us, I couldn't just run away.
──What if the lightning healed my chest wound? If that happens, it means my left arm is still burned.

I powered up my attack, "Smash," on my body and ran toward Emerada, the opposite direction from my fleeing crew.

I felt a hard sensation travel up my arm as the tip sank into the fiend's body.
The golden fiend didn't scream from the hit; it just opened its mouth wide, waiting for the lightning.
It looked like its expression changed for a moment, but maybe it was just my imagination.
I didn't have time to waste, but after quick glance at the fiend's face, I closed my eyes for a moment to honor our teacher who showed us the way to live.
"...Goodbye, 'teacher'"
I stabbed the sword into my former teacher and turned to run away as fast as I could.
Thunder was already rumbling in the sky.
If I stayed too long, I'd die.
That's what I thought at that moment.
My vision turned white, then suddenly went dark.
