Volume 6 Chapter 81-2 Who Made the Victor Training Cape?

In the rain, the voices of Julius and Luke grew louder.

The way the empire was trying to choose was reckless.

It's physically impossible for a heavily-loaded battleship to land on the sandy beach.

However, contrary to Luke's expectations, the "Chrome Fang" roared with its magic engine and started to slide down the slope, gaining momentum as it rode the waves.

A wild storm with heavy rain and strong winds.

Luke didn't know, but it was high tide now.

Normally, the beach would be impossible to reach, yet for a brief moment, it could only accept the battleship like threading a needle.

The "Chrome Fang" slid towards that spot.

The massive waves caught by the battleship made it seem like it was about to lift off from the sea's gravity.

 "...No way."

Anyone would be shocked by this, not just Luke.

 Who could have guessed?

That a battleship would charge into the beach.

 Who could imagine?

That a person would use such a ridiculous strategy.

A sound like thunder striking nearby echoed all the way to the port.

The imperial navy's second flagship, the "Chrome Fang."

It landed in the waters of the Gardner territory.

From the "Chrome Fang," which landed like a spear, elite soldiers of the empire jumped down one after another.

"Damn it, if they can get through there──"

"Wait, Lucas. We are in charge of defending the port."

"But if the beach falls, the port will be completely surrounded!"

Luke was right; with the terrible weather, other battleships couldn't approach the port.

The empire on the sandy beach had a higher priority.

But the empire understood that as well.

 "Here they come!"

Just as Livia said, the imperial army was running straight along the coastline, cutting through the chaos caused by the "Chrome Fang."

Their target was undoubtedly to take the port.

They had revealed their weakness by redirecting defense to the beach.

If they fought back against the scattered imperial soldiers, they would definitely miss some.

So, there was no choice but to return to the port and defend it at all costs.

Gritting his teeth, Luke saw both armies clashing on the now treacherous beach.

If the empire's troops took the port here, it would mean total defeat.

 "...Mr. Conrad."

As Luke muttered that and turned towards the port, 2 shadows appeared against the booming thunder behind him.

 "...yo!"

"Hahaha! You look so pathetic, Luke!"

Abel was all wet from the rain, and next to him was a strong guy, like Randy.

This big, strong guy had a shaved head and brown skin, and his name was Galhart. He was another Squad Leader, like Abel.

 "Abel, Galhart..."

"Long time no see," Galhart said, and patted Luke on the back.

They were one year younger than Harrison, but Luke had known them since they were kids, and now they were both Squad Leaders.

Luke felt really good that they were here.

 "What's the situation...?"

"It's okay. I kinda get it,"

Abel nodded. "Luke, you go here. We'll go there," he said, pointing at the harbor and the beach.

 "Gal, let's go."

"Yeah. Looks like things are heating up,"

Galhart laughed, "Gahahaha!" and then about 20 Knights showed up, following them.

 "Target: the beach, enemy warship!"

 "Don't fall behind, everyone!"

Following their orders, the Victor Knight Brigade ran towards the beach.

Luke shouted, "I'm counting on you!" and turned to run towards the harbor.

Even though they were strong, they couldn't stop all the Empire soldiers who were coming at them.

Luke had to beat back the Empire soldiers who were definitely going to come flooding in, at the harbor.

Behind Luke, the thunder rumbled again.

...Or maybe it wasn't thunder at all.

The rain was getting even stronger.

But Luke didn't hesitate as he ran towards the harbor.

He had people he could trust to watch his back...

In the future, the battles that were called 'War without a Crown' or 'Ashen Crown War' had 3 fights that were popular with the people.

One of them, called 'Clash at Dawn Beach' in the Empire, or 'Operation Chrome Fang' began like this.

Especially, the idea of calling the battleship a "weapon for landing" had a big impact on the future, and was called 'romance' in naval strategy.

It was a strategy that was both a one-hit kill with no retreat.

If successful, it would shatter the enemy formation, but if it failed, they would lose their flagship and main forces in one stroke.

'Chrome Fang' controlled this extreme choice, becoming a hero who opened a wind hole on the battlefield.

But the beauty of this fight was also in the formidable kingdom they were defending.

The defense line temporarily collapsed due to the intense rain and sudden attack, but the kingdom demonstrated "flexibility in moving the battlefield."

Anticipating the magic unit's hesitation due to the rain and chaos, they swiftly shifted to a reserve team focused on close combat, encircling and dividing the empire's assault troops deployed by 'Chrome Fang.'

Moreover, they timed it with the ebb tide, using the "reverse tide tactic" to separate the imperial army by detouring from the seaside.

"Even if the front is broken, the whole does not collapse."

This response was said to be one of the factors that led to the ultimate victory.

However, what the crowd was most passionate about in this battle was not the intricate maneuvers of the high-level tactics.

It goes without saying that the legendary appearance of the mysterious reinforcement on the kingdom's side, the ones who say "cut the cloak to become strong," is still told to this day.
