Randy and his friends started researching the teleportation gate, and it had already been almost 2 weeks.

Even while worrying about such chaos, Randy and Ellie were deep in analysis in front of the teleportation gate today.
"The remaining issues are, the coordinate specification and the energy problem, right?"
Around Randy, who scratched his head, there was a mountain of piled-up memos.
This was the result of calculations done by Ellie and Liz over the past 2 weeks.
"If we use magic stones for energy... coordinate specification normally connects teleportation gates."
With a sigh, Ellie agreed, "Yeah, that's true," and Randy sighed back.
"It's really too much to prepare another teleportation gate..."
As Randy said, they still haven't finished analyzing the materials for the teleportation gate.
While they made it possible to teleport using coordinates, the specification for the teleportation gate was still unclear.
Normally, it's difficult to specify coordinates to connect teleportation gates.
To solve this, they need to create a new teleportation gate, but they simply don't have the materials.

It's like using numbers, like on a map, to find the place before they go.
"So? Does anyone know about stars?"
"Nope. Not even Liz."
"Yeah, you're right."
Randy was sad. Nobody knew anything about stars.
If they wanted to use the stars to find the place, they'd have to watch the sky for a long time near the gate and at the place they want to go.
"Then, what about using the person's mind?"
Randy came up with this idea.
Like with teleportation magic, maybe they could just use the person's thoughts to set the spot.
"That won't work. Teleportation magic and the gate are totally different. If you can imagine the place well enough to set the spot with the gate..."
"It's faster to just learn teleportation magic from the start."
Randy scratched his head, and Ellie said, "That's right."
Even if they had different levels of magic power, if they could imagine the place well enough to open the gate, magic would be faster.
"So, that leaves us with..."
"The magic circle to make a fixed spot."
Ellie said she would try it and went outside.
It was already getting dark at the port, but it was lively, as if a ship had just docked.
