Volume 6 Chapter 61-2 if a Teleportation Gate Is Made, I Would Also Like to Have One at My Parents' House

 "Wait here."

Ellie looked around nervously and said, "Around here," before crouching down not too far from the cabin.

For a moment, Ellie scratched a magic circle into the ground with a scritch-scratch sound.

 "Is this good enough?"

The large magic circle seemed "cool" to Randy, but nothing else came to mind.

Ellie explained the magic circle, but in the end, it still just looked "cool."

 "Are you listening?"

"Yeah, I'm listening. So, we just link the coordinates of this magic circle with the gate's coordinates, right?"

In simple terms, it means they can teleport from the gate to this magic circle.

 "Let's try it once!"

"Well, proof is better than theory."

Excited, the two returned to the cabin and activated the teleportation gate.

The gate, which had been fully detached from the main unit in the past few days, was now an independent teleportation gate powered by a high-level beast's magic stone leftover from Victor.

"So, if I go through this, I can teleport, right?"

 "Theoretically, yes."

Ellie nodded, but Randy turned back to look at her as he saw the gate turn marbled.

 "What if it fails?"

"I don't know. You might end up falling between dimensions."

Randy's cheeks paled at those words.

If it succeeded, they would be outside the cabin, but if it failed, they could end up in a mysterious space.

And there was no guarantee they could get out.

"Let's just stick my head through to check first..."

Randy muttered this, but he suddenly wondered what the exit side looked like.

Peering through the window, Randy's eyes caught a swirling vortex-like thing floating above the magic circle.

 "Hey, is that the exit?"

 "Looks like it."

 "It's pretty small, huh?"

"Stop chattering and let's just go check it out."

With a push from Ellie, Randy took a deep breath and jumped into the gate... and was surrounded by light.

The next moment, Randy was standing outside the cabin, right on top of the magic circle.

 "...It worked! It worked!"

Randy jumped for joy, and Ellie appeared above the magic circle, grinning with pride.

 "Awesome, Ellie!"

Feeling excited, Randy hugged Ellie tightly, making her blush and her eyes go wide.

 "R-Randy! That's too much!"

"No way, Liz is amazing too!"

Even when Liz switched places, Randy wouldn't stop hugging.

After all, they had found a way to close distances without using teleportation magic in this era.

What else could make them so happy?

As Randy's joy exploded, Ellie and Liz kept switching back and forth.

Finally, when Randy settled down, Liz, still blushing, puffed up her cheeks and said, "I was surprised!"

"Ah, I'm sorry. This is just amazing!"

Randy poked at the swirling space.

It seemed like they couldn't enter from their side, and the whirlpool didn't grow bigger.

 "Still one-way, huh?"

"And there are distance limits too. To send someone far away, you need a magic circle designed to handle that energy and the right medium."

"Just drawing it on the ground might not even cover the distance to Victor Territory," Liz added.

"Hmm. If I want to fly all the way to Braubelg, there are still limitations."

"According to Ellie, those limitations are why there's said to be a [Cave of Saint] around there."

Ellie, still shy and not showing herself, told Liz that area is where dragon veins converge.

 Energy bursts out from there.

In short, they made the cave to spread collective unconsciousness across the world through dragon veins.

"I see. If there's a dragon vein at Braubelg, that would be great."

 "That's right."

Nodding, Liz stared across the river towards the port.

"Alright! Let's go find the dragon vein at Braubelg!"

 "Huh? Are we leaving now?"

 "Yes, right now!"

Standing up, Randy reached out his hand to Liz.

"And let's grab some delicious fish while we're at it in Braubelg!"

Liz nodded and shook Randy's hand, smiling.

The two just wanted to make a means of transportation to get home.

No one knew that their actions would be a huge miscalculation for the Empire and Leonius.
