Volume 1 Chapter 25 The Exiled Healer and the Foolish Hero [Vulcan III]
Luna joined the guild [Gem of Heavenly Gift].
While Luna, along with Rosalia, was making remarkable progress... Hero Vulcan had fallen on hard times.
After finishing his audience with the king, Vulcan returned to the inn, heading back to his companions.
With a weary expression, he told them about the message from the king.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, FIRING THE HERO!?"
Saint Mary's voice rose in a shrill tone.
"Calm down, Mary. It's not like we're fired. Yet. It's just a warning if we keep going like this."
Since their defeat against the Earth Wyrm (Behemoth), Vulcan and his crew had continued to fail kingdom quests.
The king had reprimanded them for their failures and notified them that if the situation continued, they would be stripped of their hero status.
"I REFUSE! I told everyone back home I was part of the hero's party! How can I show my face if I'm sacked now! It's too embarrassing to even say!"
"Just shut up for a minute."
Vulcan's expression twisted with annoyance.
"SHUT UP? It's not like I'm the one who's useless! You're the hero, getting trounced over and over again!"
"WHAT!? DON'T YOU DARE! You're a Saint, and your healing is clumsy and subpar! You're always holding us back in battle!"
"I'm a support member, so of course I can't participate in the fight!"
"Luna could! She'd dodge enemy attacks, create openings, and support us!"
"WHAT!? WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN!? You're saying she's better than me? After you threw her out!"
"Weren't you the one who said we should expel that woman!?"
The other party members let out a collective sigh.
"Mr. Vulcan, we don't have time for this argument."
"If we don't do something, we're going to get fired from the hero party. We need to come up with a plan."
Vulcan glared at them.
"I know that."
"If it's come to this, there's only one thing to do... We need to bring Luna back."
"WHAT THE!? HEY, VULCAN! ARE YOU SAYING YOU PREFER THAT LITTLE BRAT OVER ME!?"
Mary's voice cracked as she raised it higher.
"We just need her support for our party. Plus, having two healers will lighten Mary's burden."
Thus, Vulcan headed towards Luna.

Luna raised a toast at the Guild Hall of the [Gem of Heavenly Gift].
"So, let's toast to the extermination of the Flame Dragon! Cheers!"
"CHEERS!"
Guild members gathered in the hall, enjoying the feast.
"Ms. Luna, thank you so much for today."
Rosalia sat beside her.
"Absolutely! Thanks to Luna's precise support, we were able to take it down!"
The fairy Mizarii ruffled Luna's hair with a grin.
"No, it's not just my strength. Everyone... and it's because Guildmaster was there too."
Luna's gaze drifted toward the second floor.
"The Guildmaster picked me up, saw potential in my support, and practiced with me... that's how I got to this level."
I've never met a Guildmaster who cared so deeply about my progress...
"Act is... the best Guildmaster there is."
"I completely agree. There isn't a better human than him."
"And today, he covered the entire cost of the banquet! He's generous, capable, and just the best!"
Nods and smiles spread among the guild members.
"Is the Guildmaster not coming yet?"
"It seems like he's tied up with work. But I believe he'll be here soon."
As they enjoyed their drinks, it happened.
"LUNA! I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU!"
Hero Vulcan barged in alone, ignoring the stares.
He approached her.
"Come on. It's time to go."
Vulcan grabbed her arm roughly and pulled her up.
"Ouch! Stop it..."
"Please keep the ruckus to a minimum."
Ria stood up, glaring at Vulcan.
"She's an important ally. What right do you have to take her?"
"I'm the Hero appointed by the King, heading out to exterminate the Demon King. I need her for my quest."
"Without her consent? How is that any different from kidnapping?"
"I'm a Hero. A man fighting for the country. If you stand in my way, you're essentially picking a fight with the nation, you know?"
A triumphant smile spread across his face as he surveyed the room.
"If you get in my way, you're going to cause trouble for the Guild and the Guildmaster."
Everyone stepped back.
No one wanted to bring trouble to their beloved Guildmaster.
"Come on. We're leaving, Luna."
"NO WAY! I'M NOT GOING BACK!"
"If you resist, it's not just you who'll suffer; everyone around you will be affected. Now, be a good girl and listen to what I say, Luna..."
