I hurriedly lifted Aslan.
He seemed to be in a daze, but he was still breathing.

"Master?"

"──So, Knight Aslan has died, Sister Dina?"
"Yes, that is the report we have received."
Rai Conwell returned with the body of his master, Aslan Aldabaran, around evening.
Although the mission itself was completed successfully, the last Knight Aslan was ambushed by the enemy, suffered fatal injuries, and passed away, as reported by his disciple, Knight Rai.
"As a result, the rankings will be adjusted, with Leone Godwin moving up to 4th place among the Purge Knights, Howard Hooker in fifth, Rai Conwell in 6th, and Noah Lowe in 7th."
Hearing this from Sister Dina, the special agent, Saint Stella furrowed her brows.
"Hmmm, having Leone in the 4th position feels a bit off. But, it can't be helped, I guess."
Saying that, Saint heaved a sigh.
Leone Godwin was indeed capable, but her personality was quite problematic, and Saint wasn't keen on promoting her.
"Do we have a replacement for Aslan lined up?"
"I have someone in mind. The top candidate is──"
"Rize, if we're going to appoint someone, Rize Howell would be best. She's easy to handle."
"────Ah."
Sister Dina nodded, bowing her head.
To her, Saint's words were the voice of God, an absolute command.
"Then, who should be in charge of her training?"
"Leone and the 'slacker' Noah are out of the question, Howard is too kind, no good."
"That leaves us with Alfonso or Rai, I suppose."
"Alfonso won't do. He's a reserved force, we need to keep him on standby────yes, Rai is the best choice after all."
"Yes, as you command."
"Alright, proceed accordingly. I'm counting on you, Dina."
Upon hearing those words, Sister Dina's cheeks flushed briefly.
"T-then, I'll take my leave."
To hide it, she quickly left the room.
After Sister Dina left, Saint stared into the void and muttered to herself.
"To breathe your last by the hand of your beloved pupil, surely it's what you wished for, Aslan────now I can finally tear 'My Rai' away from you properly."
Saying that, she displayed a smile, pure as a maiden's.
"Now, what will happen next?"
Fortunately, there was no one around to hear her musings.
