Volume 6 Chapter 34-2 When I Come to Her Parents' House and Meet Her Parents, It's Kind of This, Right

 "If Your Excellency says so..."

Randy, who only seemed gentle and kind to Alfred, had no problem with it if Lucian, whom he knew well as a fellow territory noble, said so, as well as Alan.

"Now then. Let's put aside this boring talk of squabbles... I suppose it's safe to say that your long-cherished wish will finally come true?"

Randy swallowed hard as Lucian narrowed his eyes.

It was undoubtedly about Ellie's body.

And that meant bringing Liz back to normal.

Looking at Lucian's hopeful eyes, Randy nodded, "Yes," and took a deep breath.

"It took time, but I think I can keep my promise to the two of them."

"After you get Lady Eleonora's body back... what do you plan to do with the two of them?"

 Randy met Lucian's direct gaze.

"As always. If we could all be together... I think that's what I want."

"That's an abstract way of putting it."

Randy snorted, and then shook his head, "You're right. That wasn't very manly," and turned back to Lucian.

"First, after I get Ellie's body back, I'll tell them my true feelings."

 That he loved them.

"And after you tell them, what then?"

"Depending on their responses, after I graduate from the academy, I would like to take both Liza... no, Liz and Ellie as my wives and build a future together."

 "The two of them, huh..."

Randy, who had been looking straight at Lucian, lowered his head.

"I swear on my life that I will never hurt them."

Cedric, seeing Randy bow his head, held his breath and looked at Lucian.

In fact, Cedric also felt a little complicated.

He valued Randy's character, and he understood that Liz loved Randy.

But even so, when his precious sister was spoken of on the same level as another woman... even if the other party was an ancient great magician, it was not easy for a family to accept.

 "'My life'... huh."

Muttering, Lucian understood the weight of those words.

In noble marriages, what is usually wagered is 'my blood and pride'.

This signifies the collective will of the family, but Randy had bet only his own life.

In other words, he was prepared to flee with Liz and Ellie, if necessary.

(...An excellent eldest daughter. Lord Alan is a bad person either.)

Now that things had come to this, Lucian finally understood why Alan had praised Clarice and also her brother.

Alan had predicted the conversation that would take place here today, and what Randy was about to say, in advance.

(The irresponsibility of abandoning the family...no, that's not possible. The fact that results continue even without him has already been proven.)

Lucian sighed deeply, and Randy's shoulder twitched slightly.

 "I understand your feelings."

At those words, Randy looked up involuntarily, and Cedric couldn't help but exclaim, "Father!"

"It depends on Liza's feelings, but I will consider your feelings."

 "Is that alright?"

Without missing a beat, Cedric spoke, and Lucian sighed softly, "It's fine."

"No matter what we say, it depends on Liza's feelings. That won't change."

Shaking his head, Lucian remembered the sad fact that Liz, despite not reporting to him, had been in contact with Alan from time to time.

It was evidence that she had already grown apart from him.

"But with that in mind, I will set one condition."

Lucian raised one finger, and Randy asked with a slightly raised voice, "What, what is it?"

"The new town. I heard you've thought of an interesting concept?"

Smiling wryly, Lucian nodded, and Randy agreed, "Yes, well..."

"I want you to achieve the development of that town without our help."

At the harsh condition presented, Randy's cheeks twitched.

"Of course, if you show me certain results, I won't hesitate to cooperate."

Randy's wry smile barely masked the bitter realization that he'd been played.

It wasn't the situation itself that got to him—it was the way Lucian smiled.

By insisting that this was his vision alone, not dictated by his family's will, he had inadvertently invited the challenge:

"Then prove it. Show us what you can do."

 Now, he had to deliver.

The city he envisioned relied heavily on Braubelg's influence.

Without it, he might as well have had his wings clipped.

To create trends, he needed key figures with reach.

And Lucian... he had undoubtedly caught wind of Randy's ideas through Alan.

That's why this was a negotiation—one with no room for failure.

But there was one thing Randy wouldn't compromise on.

No matter what, his vision for Liz and Ellie's future was non-negotiable.

 "Understood."

Taking a deep breath, he forced a confident smile—even if some of it was bravado.

"I'll make sure that Your Excellency and Sir Cedric themselves will be begging to have a hand in this project."

Lucian's eyes gleamed with genuine amusement.

 "Excellent."

Now that the stakes were set, there was no time to waste.

City-building wasn't something that happened overnight.

 Every second counted.

"Then, if you'll excuse me, I'll go pay my respects to Madame."

Randy rose from his seat. Lucian and Cedric exchanged a glance before looking back at him, their expressions clear—

 They believed in him.

They genuinely thought Randy would succeed, that he would create something remarkable—something worthy of welcoming Liz and Ellie.

Randy couldn't help but chuckle inwardly.

 (Fine. I'll show you.)

 This wasn't just for them.

 It was for himself.

Right now, every aspect of his business revolved around Braubelg's network.

If he was going to bring in two figures as high-profile as Liz and Ellie, then his achievements needed to be undeniable.

The kind that would silence the world.

"I'll be taking my leave for now."

Just as he lowered his head in a polite bow—

 Knock, knock.

The sound echoed through the room as Sebas stepped inside, announcing that he had come to escort Randy to Madame's chambers.

(Seriously, how the hell does everything move this fast?)

Suppressing his bewilderment, Randy followed Sebas through the vast halls of the white palace, his mind already racing ahead to the meeting that awaited him.
