Volume 5 Chapter 3 The Parents Are Seriously Pushing Me to Get Married
One day.
In the beastman country.
I was summoned to the castle by Divine Beast King Sofia (Haku's mom).
"Hello, Sofia"
Sitting on the throne was a long-haired, beautiful woman.
She had flowing golden hair and white dog ears and a tail.
She was also well-endowed.
"It's been a while, Zeke."
She's my former employer.
I used to be the chief court veterinarian in this beastman country.
But then, things happened, and now I'm a king too.
"Oh! Doc! Long time no see!"
"You're the Divine Dragon King."
"Just call me Elron!"
This big guy is the Divine Dragon King.
We became friends after I helped his wife, the Frost Dragon, a long time ago.
"So, what's up, Sofia?"
"I thought it would be nice to have some drinks for the first time in a while."
"A drinking party? Sounds good!"
And so, a drinking party was held with the two Divine Beasts.
We moved to Sofia's bedroom.
We sat in a circle and drank.
"Wow, delicious. Zeke, what kind of sake is this?"
Sofia took a sip of the sake I used to make as a hobby and said.
"It's called Nihon-shu."
"Nihon-shu... That's a strange name."
"My dad's ancestors developed it. It's made from grains."
Elron gulped down the sake I made.
"Yay! This is good! This is the best sake I've ever had! Doc, you're a genius at making sake! Amazing!"
"Really, I've never had anything this delicious before."
Gulp, gulp, Sofia drinks, then lets out a long sigh.
"I'm glad you like it."
Rhum is pretty strong stuff, it's a real love-it-or-hate-it kind of drink.
Me and pops, we're pretty fond of it, but Cino and Chippy don't seem to care for it.
Do you like the Divine Beast?
Is there something different about it?
"Oh wow, teacher, you're seriously amazing."
"What's wrong, all of a sudden?"
Is Elron drunk?
His face is bright red as he swings his arm around behind my neck.
"You can heal not just humans and beasts, but even the world's anomalies. There's no doctor like you anywhere!"
Come to think of it, I've fixed so many things with this right hand.
"So, what do you think? Aren't you ready to settle down?"
"Get married?"
"Yeah! How about my adorable daughter Sia?"
Sia is Elron's daughter, a kid dragon with blue scales.
"Oh, Elron, you're so sneaky."
Sofia, her face also red, comes up really close to me, her chest pressing completely against mine.
"If you're going to say that, what about my daughter Haku? She's also at the age where she should be finding a partner."
"Don't say that, Sofia! My daughter is clearly the better choice!"
"No way, Zeke is meant to be with Haku."
They bump foreheads.
"Relax, I'm not planning on getting married yet."
Suddenly, they both turn to look at me.
"Is there anyone you like?"
"Like that silver-haired girl, or maybe earth dragon?"
Ouch, that's sharp....
"Well, well, it's only natural for animals to have harems. My daughter could join in too, right?"
"Yeah, let my daughter join the harem too."
In the end that day,
how did it go?
I was bombarded with offers for my daughters.
Hmm, marriage...
