(Chippy's Side)
Chippy, the earth dragon bride of Zeke, had arrived in the Demon Lord's domain to face Ultra Hero Makhen... and she had lost the fight.
But when she next opened her eyes, there was Zeke before her.
He must have used some miraculous power to bring her back.
She felt a wave of relief, followed immediately by a shiver of fear.
The Zeke in front of her wasn't the gentle one she knew.
His expression was clear with anger, and he was wrapped in a terrifying black power, eliminating his enemies.
It was the very embodiment of the Demon Lord as told in ancient legends.
Chippy was terrified of this side of Zeke.
'Gyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!'
The modified humans left in the domain gathered with groans and soon took on the form of Ultra Hero Makhen.
'Hahaha! Did you really think Sir Makhen would be taken down so easily?'
All the modified humans within the domain transformed into the figure of Makhen, clad in black armor.
'This is my new power! Everything under my control can project my consciousness...'
It seemed the battle was far from over.
Makhen could transfer his consciousness to his underlings.
It appeared that Makhen was not alone.
'The modified humans I brought today are about 2000! Zeke, if you want to kill me, you'll need to eliminate these 2000 enemies in an instant!'
Each one was quite strong on their own, but there were nearly 2000 of them...
Yet, Zeke showed no sign of panic.
He faced his enemies with the same unsettling, terrifying expression as before.
Zeke raised his hand above his head.
Then, black light began to gather in the distant sky above.
The light coalesced, growing larger and larger.
And then...
"A black... sun...?"
What formed was a mass of black light, a dark sphere rising high into the sky.
"That's enough. Makhen. You... can die."
Die.
A word that Zeke, the handler of life, never utters.
But Zeke, right now, spat those cursed words, laced with hatred.
Those curses fed the Black Sun.
From within its depths...
FLASH!
...a thin, single beam of light shot out.
'Eh? What's with that scrawny beam? You think that's gonna...'
Bo!
...Makhen (split body) was vaporized in an instant upon being hit by the beam.
"It's a beam of light condensed with the power of destruction. If even a sliver touches you, your very soul will evaporate, and you'll cease to exist from this world."
...The beam of destruction.
Zeke's black beam of light spread out in the air like fireworks.
BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM!
One after another, brilliant explosions bloomed in the sky, rapid and relentless.
The beam tore through Makhen's forces with terrifying speed, erasing them without mercy.
Zeke calmly, coldly, reaped life after life.
"Zeke..."
Chippy was trembling violently.
To mercilessly kill... beings (though not technically people)...
That Zeke was... terrifying.
What if the kind Zeke from before was gone for good...?
That thought... was unbearable.
"No! Zeke!! Don't!!AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGH!!!"
Chippy tackled Zeke.
"Chi-chi..."
"No! Zeke is... going down that path! It's no good...!!! !!!!!"
Chippy shouted at Zeke, her voice thick with anguish.
"You! You're supposed to be a force that helps people! You can't use that power to kill people like this!!!!!!!!!!"
Now... Zeke was on the verge of becoming a true Demon Lord.
A cruel, ruthless... evil king.
But....
"...Sorry, Chippy"
CRACK!
With a shattering sound, the Black Sun disappeared.
Chippy looked at Zeke.
He... had his kind face
"Sorry, I'm about to lose sight of myself. Sorry..."
...Good, Chippy is truly relieved.
Ah, he's back to his original Zeke...
