(Zeke's Side)
I was asked by the Divine Dragon King Elron to attend the birth of his wife.
Riding on Elron's back, we soar up into the sky.
"What's the Dragon Kingdom Sky Fortress like?"
According to Elron, who had transformed into a dragon...
It's like an island nation floating in the sky.
There are lots of divine dragons living there, or so I've heard.
"Huh, the divine dragons... aren't they supposed to have ancient dragon and divine blood? Is that right?"
'Indeed it is. As expected of the doctor! Very knowledgeable!'
"Well, I've never actually seen one before."
Elron's flight ability surpasses any other dragon, and in no time, we've reached the sky and above the clouds.
As Elron continues to fly...
"Whoa, what's that huge emerald cloud?"
'That's the barrier that protects our nation.'
"Huh, a barrier. So, the divine dragons' country is inside that?"
'Exactly. Make sure to hold on tight.'
Elron accelerates with a *thrust*, piercing through the emerald cloud.
As we move through the cloud without incident...
"Whoa! Incredible... There really is an island floating in the sky!"
Scattered throughout the sky are small floating islands.
On them live miniature dragons about 2 meters tall.
They may be small in stature, but they exude a stronger presence than ancient dragons.
Could these be the divine dragons...?
'Sir Elron! Welcome back!'
The divine dragons have noticed us and come over.
'A human? Could it be...?'
'Indeed, it is Zeke.'
Oh...
The divine dragons exclaim in admiration.
Huh?
They know about me?
'The one who saved the Seventh Queen!'
'The one who named Princess Sia!'
'The only human recognized by Sir Elron!'
...Seems I've become famous without even realizing it.
'The doctor is an esteemed guest. My beloved wings, treat Zeke with the utmost respect. Understood?'
'Yes...!'
Hmm, there's no need to be so formal with me.
I just want to be friends with the beasts, you know.
'Alright, Professor. Let me invite you to my palace.'
"Hey there, nice to meet you."
Elron glides through the sky between islands, flying leisurely.
Ahh, but what a nice spot.
Even though it's a thousand meters up in the air, the climate is incredibly mild.
The island is lush with greenery, where they till the fields and raise livestock.
All the work that humans would do is being handled by the dragons.
They're smart and skillful dragons, aren't they?
As I marvel at this, there's this massive island... or should I say.
"A castle? Is it floating?"
'That's my castle, the Black Dragon Castle!'
"Whoa... amazing... huge..."
That floating, gigantic castle seems to be Elron's residence.
He sure lives in a fancy place, huh?
"How do the islands and castles float?"
'It's because of a material called [Flight Stone].'
"Huh...? Flight stone...?"
What's up with that?
'I'm not exactly sure, but it seems to be a mysterious mineral from ancient times that allows things to float in the sky.'
Hmph, so the dragons live by processing that, huh?
Incredible...
Elron, with me on his back, arrived at the Black Dragon Castle.
There, the guardian dragons gathered.
'Your Majesty! It's an emergency! The Fire Dragon!'
"What!? What's wrong with the Fire Dragon!?"
Huh?
Elron, in human form, hurriedly informed me.
"It's my First Queen, who is pregnant!"
"Go for an examination at once!"
"Ah, I'm counting on you!"
