Volume 4 Chapter 36 VS The King of Mud
I'm facing the intelligent Black Beast, the King of Mud, that I met underground.
'Let's start with a warm-up, shall we?'
Whoosh...!
The King of Mud unleashes a miasma.
It's a gas that means instant death if you touch it.
It's attacking me at super speed.
I try to create a barrier with Right Hand of Divine Magic, but I get a bad feeling and dodge.
I fly to the right, and the miasma gas follows.
That's what I thought.
If I had put up a barrier with my right hand, it would have attacked me by going around it.
'You have a good intuition, for a monkey.'
The King of Mud was waiting for me where I flew.
This guy... is a fake.
Gas from behind, and a fake King of Mud in front of me.
I jump up on the spot and avoid the pincer attack.
Then, the gas concentrates where I flew, taking the form of the King of Mud.
'Hmph!'
It slams a high-speed blow at me.
I'm sent flying straight into the miasma swamp.
A loud splashing sound.
The surrounding area is filled with miasma.
'How trivial. So, this is all there is to it?'
"That's what *I* was going to say."
I'm standing on top of the miasma swamp.
"You made such a grand entrance, I thought you'd be strong, but is this all there is?"
'Shut up. You couldn't even lift a finger against my attacks!'
"Yeah, well... it's like this."
Standing next to me is an old dwarf.
"I, I can't believe it... I... am I saved?"
"Yeah. You're okay, you're alive."
He's probably Ena's father, and he's standing next to me.
'I, impossible!? When did this happen!?'
"When you threw me, I took him out. Believe it or not, I'm a doctor."
I touch the King of Mud's stomach with the Right Hand of Divine Magic and extract his father.
"And I returned the other dwarves you ate, too."
The dwarves are unconscious on the ground.
'I, impossible! I should have eaten them!?'
"Their bones were still there, so I revived them."
'Re, revived... is that even possible...?'
Well, I look at the King of Mud.
'Gah, ugh, damn it!'
A noxious gas rushed toward me.
But with just a swing of my right hand, the gas vanished completely.
"Now I can turn you into nothing but ashes without a second thought."
