Volume 4 Chapter 32 The Bog Monster
We found the dwarf exploration party deep in the chasm, presumed lost.
"Thank you, Mr. Zeke. Truly, thank you!"
"I thought we were done for."
"You're our savior!"
The dwarves bowed their heads repeatedly.
"Glad you're all right. By the way, about Ena's father..."
"Ah, Dogolf, you say?"
"We were together at first, but then...he was eaten."
"Eaten? By whom?"
The dwarf spoke with a grave expression.
"It was a monster born from the miasma of the bog...the Bog Monster."
"The Bog Monster..."
It seems Dogolf fell into the bog with them.
But he was devoured by the monster that emerged from the bog.
"No..."
Gack, Ena collapses to her knees.
"Father...Father..."
Ena sobbed, tears streaming down her face.
It's understandable that she's heartbroken over her father being eaten and killed.
"Ena, don't give up hope."
"But...he was eaten..."
I place my hand on Ena's head.
"Just because the Bog Monster ate him doesn't mean he's dead. He's still alive inside its belly. I'm absolutely sure of it."
"...Mr. Zeke"
Cino and Chippy also encourage her.
"That's right, don't be so glum, little one."
"Yes, simply put, we need to find the Bog Monster."
I stroke Ena's head.
"I'll definitely find it.I promise."
"...Yes..."
As for our next course of action, we'll explore the chasm while searching for the Bog Monster that ate Ena's father.
"You'll be out there."
"But... you've come quite deep."
"No problem"
I use Left Hand of Divine Magic to mimic and activate Cino's teleportationmagic.
Create a gate in front of us.
"Hop, Exit"
"""Eeeee!?""
Dwarf and his friends look over the gate with shocked expressions.
"I can't believe it...It's a deep place where even teleportation crystals can't come out, is this...?"
There are items in this world that can be returned from dungeons to outside.
If even that's beyond its range of effect, this must be a pretty deep place──huh?
"As expected of you, big brother. You reinforced teleportation magic with your Divine Magic Right Hand, didn't you?"
"Anything goes now. It's unbelievable. Seriously."
The dwarves look at me in awe, as if impressed.
"You're amazing!" "You're a god!" "Ha ha!"
"I don't know about that, but I'm not a god. I'm just a beast veterinarian."
""""That's a lie""""
Everyone denies me.
Why is that?
