Volume 4 Chapter 21 VS Black Beast
Hearing the commotion, we head outside.
"Run away──! It's the Black Beast...!"
The Black Beast is said to have emerged from a huge hole.
What on earth is it...?
As we head towards the center of the noise, there's this creature crawling on all 4s like a black humanoid.
'Gurgleuurrggghhh!'
It has 5 tentacles extending from its rear.
"Boy, run! Don't let those tentacles touch you...!"
Ena's uncle is warning me.
'Graaahhhhaaaahhh!'
With a sudden 'Bwip,' the tentacles extend towards us at a terrifying speed.
I narrowly dodge it.
Vwoosh!
The sound of it cutting through the air.
"! What the...?"
After the tentacle passes, there's nothing left behind.
The snow, the ground, and the buildings... all have been cut away.
"The Black Beast devours everything it touches! No one can withstand it."
"Mr. Zeke, run──quickly!"
But I approach the Black Beast without a second thought.
Squish!
The tentacle stretches towards me.
But I catch it head-on with my bare hands.
"Wha──what!?"
Ena and her uncle are stunned.
"What's happening!?"
"Your Right Hand of Divine Magic can wield the world's most sacred magic. That attack couldn't even inflict damage."
"To overpower the ability to erase everything it touches... it's, it's incredible..."
I pull the tentacle towards me and strike the Black Beast in its belly.
The Black Beast then folds its body into a [く] shape and vanishes.
"......"
Ena and the dwarves around us are wide-eyed, their mouths agape.
"I can't believe it...""That Black Beast that tormented us so much, taken down in one hit...?""Who on earth is he...?"
