I declared my search for her missing father.
"I appreciate how you feel... it makes me happy. But... just that feeling isn't enough."
Ena said, looking down sadly.
"That large hole is dangerous. My dad was an amazing blacksmith and also an adventurer. He went with the strong dwarves of the village... and never came back..."
"I see, so that big hole is really bad news."
Ena nodded at Chippy's words.
"If you go in there and you can't come back... I'd feel so sorry."
"You don't need to worry about that. I wanted to investigate the hole anyway."
"But... it's dangerous..."
She's worried about her safety.
Such a kind girl.
"It's fine. I'm invincible. You've seen how I didn't flinch in front of the polar bear cat, right?"
"But... you can't beat the [Black Beast]."
"Black Beast?"
Ena nodded quietly.
"It's a terrifying beast living inside the large hole. A very scary beast."
It seems they can only move inside the hole, devouring whatever enters without mercy.
"If there's such a dangerous creature... wouldn't the town be destroyed in no time?"
"It's okay. No matter what happens, the Black Beast will never come out of the hole."
Just then...
"T-t-troble! Ena! Are you there?"
"O-oh, Uncle...?"
The one who entered the house was an adult male dwarf.
"Ena, you need to run!"
"W-why?"
"It's the Black Beast! It has come out of the hole!"
