Volume 4 Chapter 12 Marine Rescue
The day after departure.
We were on a ship heading to Dwarf country, just taking it easy.
"This kind of trip isn't bad."
"That's true. You've been really busy lately, big brother."
We were on the deck, watching the scenery flow by.
Enjoying the leisurely passage of time and the views.
This is the true essence of travel.
"I hope nothing happens like this."
"Ah, you... ugh, how are you so fine?"
Chippy came out from the cabin looking pale and dizzy.
I use my healing to cure her seasickness, and Chippy lets out a sigh.
"Perhaps it was not wise for a reptile to go far from land?"
"Are you picking a fight with me, huh?"
Both of them faced each other, glaring.
Stop it already.
"I just don't do well with the ocean. Aquatic monsters are wriggly and gross."
"But since big brother solved the Curse of the Ancestor, there shouldn't be any monsters, right?"
Just then.
"..................!"
"Cino. Didn't you hear something?"
I looked around with Eye of Divine Magic.
There, some distance away... someone was drowning in the sea.
"Cino. Let's go!"
"Okay, big brother."
Cino and I used Flight to head towards the people.
Around the people floating in the sea were pieces of a broken ship.
We worked together to bring everyone aboard the ship.
The rescued were pale and trembling.
I used my healing power in my right hand to restore everyone's condition.
"I-I can't believe it... My cold and hunger have subsided."
"Looks like they're okay, brother."
"Ah, wow... Who are you?"
The rescued looked at me in admiration.
"Just a, well, traveler. What happened?"
"Actually..."
Just then.
"Zeke! Enemies!"
Chippy said, baring her fangs.
Splash...!
As the surface of the sea rose, there appeared... an aquatic monster with red eyes.
