Volume 4 Chapter 11 Which Room Is the Same
The dwarven kingdom was still a few days away by ship.
To make the journey comfortable, I booked two cabins in advance.
"I see. So my brother and I share a room, and the reptile gets one to herself, right?"
Cino said this with absolute confidence.
"Whaaaaa!? Don't joke around!"
A loud protest from Chippy.
We stood in the ship's hallway, lined with identical wooden doors.
"Obviously, my brother wants to share a room with me, right?"
Cino clung to my arm, her expression triumphant.
I sighed.
"No, I just booked the rooms based on gender. Like a normal person."
Chippy gasped, as if deeply moved.
"Even hiding your embarrassment, your brother is so cute!"
What should I do? My sister refuses to listen.
"Don't talk nonsense."
Before I could shake her off, Chippy grabbed my other arm.
"We booked the rooms with lovers in one cabin, and the child in the other, right?"
"Excuse me?"
"You don't have to be shy. I understand."
What should I do? My partner, the earth dragon, also refuses to listen.
Cino's smile sharpened.
"You're the one joking. Stop bothering us. Can't the lizard read the air?"
Chippy smirked.
"You're the one bothering us. Ugh, ugh, children are really selfish."
I groaned internally.
Why were these two so bad at getting along?
They'd spent so much time together, yet there was zero progress.
Cino turned to me sweetly.
"So, brother~? Who do you want to share a room with?"
She was smiling.
...But why was her magic leaking?
The windows were starting to frost over.
Meanwhile, Chippy grinned at me too.
...But her fists were clenched.
And the ship was rocking.
"You two... people are watching. Maybe don't fight here?"
""Who are you blaming for the fight?""
Their voices harmonized in dangerous synchronization.
In the end, after an exhausting argument, we settled on separate rooms.
By gender.
A completely normal decision.
Not that either of them looked satisfied.
