Volume 6 Chapter 18-2 First, I Want to Deal With Some Simple Problems

 "She's still a lady."

Randy shrugged, saying "Sorry," to Liz, who puffed her cheeks.

"So? You're saying you want to introduce the retired legendary lady to Clarice?"

Liz nodded at Randy, who tilted his head.

"To be precise, it's actually become her mentor and co-designer you mentioned."

"Come on. She's someone called legendary!"

Randy frowned, realizing that getting the retired legend to grasp the needle again would be tougher than creating a town.

"I don't know. But... if we could move Madame Valmoir, could I share my vision?"

Randy leaned forward, nodding at Liz's serious expression.

"First, about the proposed studio locations, what if we use both?"

Randy tilted his head, asking, "Both?"

"Leaving the center to Madame and having Clarice on the hill?"

Randy furrowed his brows, but Liz shook her head, saying, "No."

"Both Madame and Lady Clarice are on *the hill*."

Confused about Liz's proposal and intent, Randy merely stayed silent and encouraged her to continue.

"Looking at the area, I thought there is no need to *consolidate* the workshops."

Liz was articulating her vision to split Clarice's workshop into 2.

The workshop in the center would serve as a hub for fashion trends.

It would leverage Madame's brand to create a workshop that caters broadly to the wealthy, from noble ladies to merchant guilds, as well as ready-made products for common folks.

However, that place would not only create trends but also receive them.

It would swiftly capture societal currents and produce items sold to many.

"And here's the key part: the hub for trends actually has one more secret workshop."

"Is that up on the hill?"

To Randy's inquisitiveness, Liz nodded, replying, "Yes."

"The atelier on the hill will be a prestigious establishment, incorporating trends while offering unique pieces."

 "Wow, that sounds amazing."

Randy leaned in further, smiling as he got closer to Liz.

"Only special clients can visit. The uniques crafted by Madame Valmoir are meant for high-ranking nobles where status is crucial."

Liz continued to elaborate, mentioning the introduction letters required to access that hill.

Just possessing one would elevate a noble's status.

"Lady Clarice will have the opportunity to learn about live design, from dress production to design itself, along with Madame Valmoir during a generous timeline."

Finishing her presentation, Liz smiled and asked, "What do you think?"

 "Sounds great. Really great."

Randy nodded eagerly but then tightened his expression, saying, "But..."

"First, will Madame Valmoir agree? And will Clarice be satisfied with this arrangement?"

 Randy's sigh was justified.

After all, the plan relied on Madame Valmoir, and compatibility between Clarice and Madame would also be a concern.

"Indeed... If you could spare the time, I could take Lady Clarice to visit Madame once."

 "Huh? You know the legend?"

Liz smiled and nodded at Randy's surprise.

"The dress for Mother sparked Madame's retirement."

Liz dropped a bombshell, saying, "Mother and Madame are still tea friends."

 (Braubelg is amazing.)

That was the only thought that came to mind.

Yet, since there was a connection, it would be foolish not to utilize it.

"Then, may I ask you to introduce Clarice to Madame?"

Liz nodded with a smile at Randy's wry grin.

"Also, if possible, I would like to keep the workshop a secret from Clarice."

 "A surprise, I see."

With a playful wink, Liz said, "Now, without delay..." and conjured a staff from thin air.

She would likely fly to the mansion to discuss with Clarice.

The immediate decision-making felt uncomfortably reminiscent of Victor's mannerisms.

"Do you not need a guard?"

"I'm fine. With Ellie here, I've grown quite strong myself."

The presence of Liz, who showed a smile, was indeed that of a skilled magician, unimaginable from the days they first met.

 "Then I'll count on you."

"Yes. First, I'll ask Mother in a letter, so I think I can bring back Lady Clarice's intentions by this evening."

"Sounds good. Please send my regards to the old man and my mother."

Liz waved back to Randy with a "yes" as she vanished from sight.

Left alone, Randy let out a big sigh and stood up.

"While Liz is away, I guess I'll handle the trouble myself."

As Randy stretched widely and turned his gaze to the door, a knock echoed.

When Randy invited the person in, it was Keith who appeared.

"Perfect timing. I was just thinking of searching."

"Is that so? Since Ms. Elizabeth's presence has faded, I thought it would be a good opportunity..."

Though his tone was calm, the atmosphere surrounding Keith was different than usual.

Randy exhaled deeply, sensing that Keith had the same thoughts as him.

 "How many have *infiltrated*?"

 "Fewer than I expected."

"I see. Then let's have you guide me."

Standing up, Randy followed as Keith walked ahead, saying, "Understood."
