Volume 6 Chapter 1, Part 2 What Can I Say... A Gathering of Evil Executives Is Nice, Isn't It?
The man says that there is no problem with brainwashing ordinary people as before, without them realizing it.
Even though it's exposed, he uses the same method as before.
Four people have no idea why, but only that shadow spoke up first.
"Understood. Then let's hurry south."
After saying that, the shadow stood up and bowed deeply.
"...Well, I guess I'll go too."
The man who had been silent all this time also stood up, bowed deeply, and left the room.
"Then I'll join too!"
Waving her hand lightly, Lucy left the room, and the moment Elliot stood up, the man called out, "Elliot."
"[Revenge on the North Wall] will come soon. Don't rush."
In response to those words, Elliot nodded and said, "...Understood," bowing deeply.
Then, the man left alone in the room sighed softly, "Huh," and leaned back into his chair.
Thinking of something, the man remained still and silent.
After a little while of that, there was a quiet knock on the door.
'*Lord Leonius*, a letter has arrived for you.'
At that voice, Leonius sat up and briefly said, "Come in."
The door opened, and a man who seemed to be a soldier appeared, saying with a wry smile, "It's dark in here." as he offered the letter.
"It's a bit easier for thinking if it's a little dark."
Laughing, Leonius received the letter and opened the curtains with his foot.
The sunlight pouring in illuminated Leonius's long, shiny golden hair.
Already, the soldier had stepped back, and Leonius was alone in the room.
"Two letters..."
Leonius opened the first seal of the two letters he was handed.
After reading it for a moment, Leonius let out a genuinely happy chuckle, "Hahaha."
"He wants to attend the royal academy, huh... My younger brother is quite selfish."
Despite his words, Leonius looked pleased, but he quickly hid that brotherly face and turned to the second letter.
"This one is... Ah. A status report on a certain Victor."
Leonius had developed a slight interest in Randy since the incident in the royal capital, so he placed surveillance on Randy and had reports made as much as possible.
Of course, considering the previous failure, he was not directly watching Randy.
He dispatched investigators with a time lag to gather information through informal inquiries where Randy went.
This was Leonius's intuition.
At that time, he had laughed off the country bumpkin, but felt an inexplicable presence and thus collected information using this method, maximizing the safety margin.
The results of that are now in Leonius's hands.
Leonius, who had been manipulating the board, felt a chill for the first time.
To confirm it, he slowly opened the seal of the letter and lowered his gaze to its contents.
"......"
Leonius read the letter for a moment, then checked the sender's name once.
Without a doubt, it was marked with the code they used.
Seeing the envelope, Leonius shifted his gaze back to the letter.
"...What? A hot spring?"
There was only a carefree daily life of Randy and the others that even Leonius couldn't imagine.
"What does this mean? What purpose could there be..."
Muttering to himself, Leonius tried to imagine the reasoning behind Randy's absurd actions.
In reality, it was a foolish thought of "I'm bored, so let's dig a hot spring," but even Leonius could hardly imagine someone digging a hot spring so leisurely in this situation.
"Bluff... No, could it be an intentional display of ease?"
Or rather, it was a thought that simply seemed fun, a trivial notion, but... and so on.
After looking at the letter for a while, Leonius muttered "Interesting" and raised his face.
"Call Elliot back."
Leonius, who had meant to mutter in the room where only he was present, received a short reply of "Yes" at his back.
"As for the north, we will have them clash with Lord Duke as planned..."
Leonius, muttering, took up the letter from the one watching Julius once more.
"Julius. And the Royal Academy... Will it be a safeguard?"
Leonius, with a fierce grin, was showing his hidden face as the [Pilgrim of Truth] rather than as a brother.
Thus, once again, Randy unknowingly turns the gears of fate, creaking as they move.

Meanwhile, the very Randy...
"Alright. Now that we've come this far, let's make a *Waldner Resort plan*."
...was suggesting even more foolish ideas.
Of course, such a facility to attract an unspecified number of people was immediately rejected by Airen as merely a cover for the [Pilgrim of Truth]...
"A fluffy land where I can interact with Yamada sounds fun!"
"...fluffy."
...only Liz was secretly intrigued.
